Maki Itoh is here to shock the world. On the Buy-In of the AEW Revolution PPV, Dr. Britt Baker announced that Rebel was not healthy enough to participate as her partner against Thunder Rosa and Riho. This led to “The Cutest in the World” making her AEW United States debut as Baker’s partner. The team stole the win over the former AEW and NWA Women’s Champions. Itoh made her AEW debut in the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament, where she came up short to lost to eventual winner Ryo Mizunami in the first round of the Japanese side of the bracket.

The Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling member stunned everyone with her appearance considering her recent appearance for TJPW just two nights ago, where she teamed with Miyu Yamashita in the Max Heart tag team tournament. The crowd erupted when Itoh broke out into song and they realized it was her who had made it to the US. Itoh has expressed since her loss in the tournament that it was her dream to be a part of AEW someday, but was waiting to make her way to the company down the line. Revolution seemed like the day she could officially shine.
Maki Itoh shined in every way even in the win. While there is no word on Itoh’s future as of this writing, it’s only a matter of time before Itoh finds a way into more and more AEW appearances because of her incredible popularity.
