Death Triangle Wins Casino Tag Team Royale at AEW Revolution

Casino Tag Team Royale AEW Revolution

In the second match of AEW Revolution, fifteen tag teams participated in the Casino Tag Team Royale. The winning team would receive a future opportunity at the AEW World Tag Team Championship, currently held by The Young Bucks. From up-and-coming duos to established units, there were several possibilities to consider. However, following a competitive encounter, it was Death Triangle that emerged victorious. The team of Rey Fenix and Pac will challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Titles at a later date.

Death Triangle was the second-to-last team to enter the Casino Tag Team Royale, coming in at number fourteen. From there, they proved to be a dominant force. Rey Fenix eliminated the likes of John Silver and Christopher Daniels while Pac disposed of Frankie Kazarian. Together, Death Triangle netted further eliminations. Thus, it should have come to the surprise of few fans when Death Triangle made it to the end of the match. Their only opposition in their path was the lone Jungle Boy of Jurassic Express. With Luchasaurus having been eliminated earlier in the match, the long-haired blue-chipper was at a disadvantage.

This wasn’t to say that Jungle Boy was going to stand down. He put forth a gutsy performance in the Casino Tag Team Royale, evening eliminating the dominant Pac. As a result, the final two men in the match were the fast-paced Fenix and Jungle Boy. As formidable as the young Jungle Boy was against the seasoned luchador in Fenix, it was the masked high-flyer of Death Triangle that emerged victorious. Clotheslining Jungle Boy over the top rope, to the outside, it was Fenix that won the match for his team.

With this victory, Death Triangle have earned a future AEW World Tag Team Championship match. Earlier in the show, The Young Bucks defeated MJF and Chris Jericho to retain their titles in the opening match. When Rey Fenix and Pac challenge The Young Bucks remains to be seen.
