Taya Valkyrie WWE

As reported by PWInsider Taya Valkyrie has signed for the WWE.  She is one of a number of stars currently rumoured to be joining the WWE ahead of a seemingly mammoth recruitment class that may also include Sareee, AQABlake Christian, and Anthony Henry to name just a few. With Taya Valkyrie WWE bound lets take a look back at her career.

Taya Valkyrie almost immediately made her way to Mexico where she wrestled for Lucha giants AAA in their women’s division.  She shot to prominence in the promotion alongside John Morrison (then Johnny Mundo) as part of Worldwide Underground (and a short-lived Team Trump), Morrison is her real-life husband.  She had one reign as AAA Reina De Reinas Champion that spanned almost 1,000 days from 2014 to 2017 and had another run as champion in 2017, she is also the current reigning and defending Reina De Reinas Champion.

Valkyrie and Mundo made their way to Lucha Underground where they continued the Worldwide Underground legacy.  Valkyrie failed to win gold in the promotion despite the Worldwide Underground being leading heels on the show for a vast portion of their run.

From there Valkyrie made her way to IMPACT Wrestling, her early run in IMPACT didn’t bring much success as she failed to capture the title on a number of occasions, she finally won the Knockouts Championship in 2019 when she defeated Tessa Blanchard to win the title.  She proceeded to hold the title for a record 377 days before dropping it to Jordynne Grace.  She was written out of  IMPACT recently when she was arrested as part of an on screen angle.

With years of experience under her belt, Taya Valkyrie could be a useful addition to WWE whether it be in NXT or jumping to the main roster to re-unite with her husband.
