Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #83 – Koishikawa vs. Sakura (1/23/21)

ChocoPro 83

This weekend, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling returns with episode eighty-three of ChocoPro! This will be a two-match show, the tag team main event featuring the Asia Dream Tag Team Champions themselves. Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki, collectively known as Best Bros, have been keeping the Gatoh Move tag team and title scene on lock. Can they overcome their next formidable foes? Take a deep dive into what’s to come on this episode.

Chie Koishikawa vs. Emi Sakura

Chie Koishikawa has found herself in a bit of a slump as of late. The Gatoh Move fighter in orange with endless energy has been struggling to pick up victories, especially in singles competition. Even though she recently picked up a win alongside Sayaka Obihiro on episode seventy-nine, more often than not, the exuberant Koishikawa has been on the losing end. The fact that she was passed up on to compete in the first-ever six-man tag team match in ChocoPro, per Emi Sakura‘s decision, hasn’t helped matters.

Now, Chie Koishikawa has a chance to go against her mentor in Emi Sakura. It’s important to keep in mind that this isn’t the first time these two have competed in singles competition. They have worked one-on-one in the past; each time, it was Sakura that emerged victorious. However, over the past several months, Koishikawa has been building her skill set, amassing more of her trademark confidence along the way. Can the fighter with “Too Much Energy” pick up a singles victory or will this be one demon too difficult to exorcise?

Best Bros (Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki) vs. Hagane Shinnou and Ryuichi Sekine

Chon Shiryu, Minoru Fujita, Pencil Army – these are just a few of the enemies that have fallen to Best Bros. The duo of Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki are the reigning Asia Dream Tag Team Champions, holding down Ichigaya Chocolate Square and Gatoh Move as the top titleholders. With Suruga’s fast-paced offense and Akki’s hard-hitting, high-flying style, these two have meshed incredibly well. However, on this episode of ChocoPro, they will have to bring everything they have to the table, as they compete against a formidable makeshift team.

One of Best Bros’ opponents will be Hagane Shinnou, who mostly recently appeared on episode eighty. He battled Suruga in a heated encounter that went nearly a half hour. Though Suruga fought valiantly against the ice-cold assassin of ChocoPro, it was Shinnou that was able to put away one half of the Asia Dream Tag Team Champions. Now, Shinnou prepares for his return to Ichigaya Chocolate Square, this time working alongside an individual making his ChocoPro debut.

Fans of Dramatic Dream Team, and most notably Pro Wrestling BASARA, will undoubtedly be familiar with Ryuichi Sekine. He is a thirteen-year-plus veteran, having been trained under TAKA Michinoku and the KAIENTAI DOJO. From there, Sekine has been very successful, especially in tag team competition, winning multiple titles. He has also made several Gatoh Move appearances over the years, his most recent being in October of 2019, where he teamed with Daiki Shimomura in a losing effort against Masahiro Takanashi and Chris Brookes. Alongside Shinnou, can Sekine make his ChocoPro debut a successful one?
