On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, The Miz and John Morrison promised an interview with Goldberg. The former WCW Superstar is set to face Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble for the WWE Championship. During the third hour of RAW, The Miz and Morrison held a segment of their talk show, The Dirt Sheet. While viewers expected Goldberg, they received something different yet familiar. Enter the man they call Gillberg.

Coming out to Goldberg’s entrance music, as he’s done in years past, Gillberg marched to the ring. His entrance came complete with WWE officials holding sparklers and spraying the former Light Heavyweight Champion with a fire extinguisher. The Dirt Sheet quickly devolved into comedic antics as The Miz asked “Goldberg” how he was preparing for his upcoming match with McIntyre. Gillberg responded by saying he would bash his own head into a wall.
The antics continued from there, not only due to Gillberg but a mock version of Drew McIntyre who made his entrance. The latter mouthed off to a sneering Gillberg, saying he would kick his ass back to 1998. All the while, “McIntyre” maintained a questionable Scottish accent. Finally, The Miz admitted that the segment was going off the rails, calling it a “trainwreck,” before becoming serious. The Miz said that neither Goldberg nor McIntyre would leave the Royal Rumble with the WWE Championship. He promised that he would cash in his Money in the Bank opportunity. “Because I’m The Miz,” he concluded. “And I’m… NEXT!”

Gillberg last appeared on Monday Night RAW back in 2017. During The Festival of Friendship, held by Chris Jericho, Gillberg marched to the ring as one of Jericho’s “surprises” for his friend, then-Universal Champion Kevin Owens. During this time, Owens was involved in a feud with the real Goldberg. Gillberg’s involvement in the segment was short-lived, as Owens proceeded to beat him down outside of the ring.
