Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #72 (12/9/20) Season Four Finale

ChocoPro 72

This Wednesday, ChocoPro season four comes to an end. Without question, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling pulled out all the stops this season, from high-quality matches in Ichigaya Chocolate Square to stories that had viewers invested. Regardless of what season five has to offer, it’s safe to say that there will be tremendous excitement going into it. To wrap up season four, Gatoh Move has the following matches lined up. Wherever you are in the world, this should be a show not to miss.

Chie Koishikawa vs. Emi Sakura

Last time on ChocoPro, Reset, the duo of Emi Sakura and Kaori Yoneyama, lost to Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki, collectively known as Best Bros. Following the win, Suruga and Akki brought their attention to championship gold. To be more specific, they wanted Reset’s Asia Dream Tag Team Championship. While it’s unknown when this match will take place, the founder of Gatoh Move will be in action on the season four finale.

Sakura’s challenge will be nothing short of energetic, as she takes on Chie Koishikawa. It can be argued that “Too Much Energy” herself is a season four MVP candidate. Not only has she shown steady improvement, but she became a full-time wrestler this past September as well. Koishikawa will be looking to wrap up season four with a bang; a victory over her mentor would be monumental. Sakura will have her hands full in her final match of the season.

Best Bros (Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki) vs. Tokiko Kirihara and Antonio Honda

Following their victory on the previous episode of ChocoPro, Best Bros furthered their status as one of the top teams in Gatoh Move. Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki have worked incredibly well together; given that they are real-life friends, this should come as no surprise. Furthermore, Suruga has been building experience outside of Ichigaya Chocolate Square. Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling fans will undoubtedly know her as Mei Saint-Michel, where she is part of the NEO Biishiki-gun faction.

Best Bros will enter the season four finale against a makeshift team with a collectively unique approach. The hard-hitting Tokiko Kirihara has been absent from ChocoPro since episode sixty-six, which took place last month. Ironically, this was also Antonio Honda’s last ChocoPro show. On said episode, Kirihara and Honda teamed up to face Suruga and Chie Koishikawa in a losing effort. Now that Kirihara and Honda are back in Ichigaya, will they be able to build momentum heading into season five against Best Bros?

Lulu Pencil vs. Minoru Fujita (ChocoPro Main Event)

The growth of Lulu Pencil can’t be ignored, especially in season four. Over the past few months, the Pencil Army commanding officer has been embroiled in a feud with Chris Brookes, who has been something of a schoolyard bully to her. Despite Brookes’ nefarious, domineering tactics, Lulu Pencil remained resolute. Each loss has made her stronger; as a result, ChocoPro viewers have found themselves cheering for her even more. On the featured match of ChocoPro season four, Lulu Pencil will take on a returning veteran.

Currently, Minoru Fujita has found himself busy in Big Japan Pro Wrestling. He is the current reigning BJW Deathmatch Heavyweight Champion; he won the title from Ryuji Ito this past August. Since then, Fujita has been defending the strap with tenacity. On this upcoming season finale, Fujita will make his first ChocoPro appearance since episode sixty-four, where he and Yuna Mizumori and lost to Chie Koishikawa and Mei Suruga, collectively known as Warm Caterpillars. Can the one-time BJW Deathmatch Heavyweight Champion make his final season four appearance a win against the determined Lulu Pencil?
