Earlier today, Beyond Wrestling took to Twitter to announce their plans for 2020. Sadly, the Northeastern wrestling promotion revealed that their upcoming Tournament for Tomorrow 2020 event would be canceled; it was originally set to take place on November 8th. They followed up by revealing that they would not be scheduling any further live events for the year. At this time, it appears that the plan is to resume live events sometime in 2021.
According to Beyond Wrestling, this decision came down to concerns related to COVID-19. They responded to a Twitter user by detailing their lineup changes and refund requests due to the pandemic. “The closer we get to the finish line, the tougher it becomes to find a suitable substitution when we want everyone to test negative before the event,” said the company on Twitter. While COVID-19 may not have been the sole cause, it played a major role in the organization’s decision.
After much deliberation I've decided to cancel our upcoming #TFT2020 event originally scheduled for Sunday, 11/8 in Atlantic City.
Refunds will be handled automatically within the next few days.
We will not be scheduling any more live events for the rest of 2020.
Stay safe. ✌️

The promotion’s event to take place was Shangri-La Magistral, which aired late last month on IndependentWrestling.tv. In the main event of the show in question, Chris Dickinson bested Matt Makowski; both men recently appeared for GCW Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 3. Shangri-La Magistral also featured the likes of Still Life with Apricots and Pears, Solo Darling, Max Caster, and Richard Holliday.
Needless to say, there were many fans that purchased tickets to Tournament for Tomorrow 2020. Beyond Wrestling stated that refunds would be distributed automatically within the coming days. To say in the loop on current and future plans, follow the organization on Twitter.
