Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #58 (10/25/20)

ChocoPro 58

This upcoming episode of ChocoPro should prove promising. While such a statement can be applied to any episode of the show filmed and broadcast by Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling, there are a few special moments on episode fifty-seven, including the in-ring return of one of ChocoPro’s stables. Furthermore, we will see an energetic rookie in orange test her mettle against her mentor. Take a deep dive into the confirmed matches on this weekend’s ChocoPro.

Sayuri vs. Mei Suruga

With the determination and discipline of a ninja, Sayuri is as crafty as they come in Gatoh Move. Her unique offense, which includes acts of disappearance before getting the better of her opponents, has made her a formidable competitor. With that said, her luck in Ichigaya Chocolate Square has left something to be desired. Since her return earlier this month, she has fallen to both Chon Shiryu and Sayaka Obihiro. With these two losses under her belt, Gatoh Move’s ninpo specialist plans to steer the proverbial ship in the right direction with a victory over Gatoh Move’s cheerful “Apple Girl.”

It would be fair to call Mei Suruga a fan favorite in Gatoh Move. After all, the ChocoPro fans voted for her as the MVP of season three. With recent victories over the likes of Chie Koishikawa and Emi Sakura, the mischievous “Red Devil” of ChocoPro plans to become the first two-time MVP. In addition to fast-paced offense and creative pinning maneuvers, Suruga has proven herself as a budding submission specialist, evidenced by her deadly maneuver known as Lucifer. Will this grueling submission lead Suruga to another victory or will Sayuri stealthfully swoop in for the win like a ninja would?

Chie Koishikawa vs. Emi Sakura

Shortly after announcing this show’s main event – we’ll get to this shortly – Emi Sakura seemed to hunger for a challenge of her own. Not one to back down from such a proposal, “Too Much Energy” Chie Koishikawa stepped forward to accept. After some hesitation on the part of the Gatoh Move founder, Sakura made the match official. The AEW star isn’t a stranger to one-on-one clashes with her students, including her most recent class rookies of which Koishikawa is part of. With that said, Sakura will enter this match facing a much different competitor than the young lady she initially took under her wing.

The last time Koishikawa and Sakura faced off, in singles competition, was back on episode forty-nine last month. Since then, the energetic fighter in orange went on to become a full-time wrestler, devoting herself to ChocoPro and Gatoh Move as a whole. She also adopted a new look, not to mention greater confidence. Needless to say, Koishikawa has been impressing in short order. Furthermore, she’s become a favorite among the ChocoPro faithful. If Koishikawa defeats Sakura, her mentor, it will be the biggest victory in her promising career.

Lulu Pencil vs. Baliyan Akki (ChocoPro Main Event)

To say that episode fifty-seven of ChocoPro ended on a volatile note would be an understatement. Brimming with confidence, Lulu Pencil claimed that she could fight anyone. This included Baliyan Akki, who was taken aback by the Pencil Army leader’s bravado. As a confident competitor in his own right, Akki made the claim that, even if he wasn’t at one-hundred percent, he could defeat Lulu Pencil. On this upcoming episode of ChocoPro, the self-proclaimed “Ace” himself has a chance to put his money where his mouth is.

This episode marks the ChocoPro in-action return of Akki. He had been away from the bell-to-bell happenings of the show since the summer to nurse a shoulder injury. Akki sat out for the majority of season three, though he maintained his duties as the English-speaking host and commentator. The India-born high-flyer has been itching to get back into the fray and he will do so against the earnest, unorthodox Lulu Pencil. Can Akki overcome the commanding officer of the Lulu Pencil or will she spoil the “Ace’s” return?
