Preview: Gatoh Move ChocoPro #57 (10/21/20)

ChocoPro 57

Last time on ChocoPro, viewers saw tensions rise in many ways. In addition to an earnest tag team being put to the test, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling‘s newest full-timer has found herself in what can best be described as a slump. On this upcoming episode of ChocoPro, these tensions may be elevated further. We will also see a main event pitting temperate and tropical fruit against one another. Here’s what viewers can expect heading into episode fifty-seven.

Sayuri vs. Sayaka Obihiro

Sayaka Obihiro has been a consistent ChocoPro competitor in the last month or so. From her battles with Mei Suruga and beyond, the experienced fighter in blue has seen considerable success in Ichigaya as of late. Last time on ChocoPro, she teamed with the “Apple Girl” in a winning effort against Pencil Army. On this episode, however, she returns to singles action to face Sayuri. Up until the previous episode, Gatoh Move’s resident ninpo specialist had been out of action since July. An injury forced Sayuri to sit out, but she returned in a big way, putting up a spirited effort against Chon Shiryu. Now that Sayuri is fully back in action, she plans to pick up a win over one of the pillars of Gatoh Move in Obihiro.

Pencil Army (Emi Sakura and Lulu Pencil) vs. Chie Koishikawa and Mei Suruga

Episode fifty-six of ChocoPro saw Pencil Army, once again, falling short in their tag team match. What was just as notable, however, was Chie Koishikawa falling to Yuna Mizumori in the main event. The latter loss resulted in the otherwise energetic fighter in orange crying, overwhelmed with a rare sense of sadness. Meanwhile, Lulu Pencil, despite the number of losses on her record, maintained her resolve. Seeing this, Emi Sakura elected to make this match for episode fifty-seven of ChocoPro.

It would seem as though Chie Koishikawa has the advantage going into this match. After all, she will be teaming with Mei Suruga, who kicked off episode season four strong. In addition to a victory over “Too Much Energy” herself, “Mei-chan” was successful in her recent tag team encounter. Working alongside Sayaka Obihiro, the “Apple Girl” of Gatoh Move picked up a win over Pencil Army. Koishikawa and Suruga may not be as familiar with each other as Sakura and Lulu Pencil, but the combined exuberance of the former team may prove too much for the two-woman army.

Yuna Mizumori vs. Cherry (ChocoPro Main Event)

Following roughly one month away from Ichigaya Chocolate Square, Yuna Mizumori made her ChocoPro return on the previous episode. She bested Chie Koishikawa in an energetic, competitive encounter that accentuated the power of Gatoh Move’s “Pineapple Girl.” Meanwhile, Cherry has been making consistent appearances for ChocoPro as of late, picking up victories along the way. From Pencil Army to Tokiko Kirihara, Cherry’s momentum is at a high. However, on episode fifty-seven, she will meet a different challenge in the form of the power fighter in green.

It’s interesting to note that Yuna Mizumori and Cherry have never competed against each other in singles competition. Their encounters have always been in multi-man scenarios, mostly with Cherry teaming with Mizumori in six-person tag team matches. This will be a unique match for both competitors, to say the least, as mutual respect will have to be placed by the wayside. Can Mizumori sustain the momentum of her ChocoPro return with a victory over Cherry, or will it be the soft-spoken, fortune-telling grappler that earns another victory in Ichigaya?
