Dramatic Dream Team (DDT) has resumed running shows with crowds in different venues, and with that, the purpose of DDT TV Show has been fulfilled. DDT TV Show #8 will therefore be the finale. But with that in mind, we have two title matches are set up as well as a clash between a new stable and ALL OUT.
DAMNATION (Soma Takao/Mad Paulie) vs Mizuki Watase and Keigo Nakamura
Soma Takao and Mad Paulie have been pulling off some impressive feats lately. Soma for one has been scoring wins against teams in which one opponent is usually HARASHIMA. Proving himself as a strong tag asset to DAMNATION. Mad Paulie last week brought the fight to one-half of the tag team champions in Yuki Ueno. Mizuki Watase is going to need all of his training with Jun Akiyama to stop DAMNATION as he teams with the young lion Keigo Nakamura.
Danshoku Dino and Akito vs DISASTER BOX (Toru Owashi/Kazuki Hirata)
Depending on who you ask Kazuki Hirata getting back into the swing of things could’ve gone better. Of course, that wasn’t entirely helped by the fact that his teammates refused to tag him in. So things are different now it’s a two on two regular tag match, and they’re facing the odd couple of the Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion Danshoku Dieno and Akito. If Dieno is the one who takes the fall the title changes hands, but that added wrinkle shouldn’t cause anything weird to happen right?
Eruption! (Saki Akai/Kazusada Higuchi/Yukio Sakaguchi) vs Antonio Honda, Hiroshi Yamato, Yukio Naya
Eruption! won the six-man tag titles against #DAMNHEARTS last week putting them on top of the six-man ladder. With the date of their first defense already set, but no team has been chosen yet there’s going to be some pushing for position. Will an impressive showing or a win by this team of impressive and entertaining athletes prove that at least one of them deserves a spot on the challenging team. Or will the dominant Eruption power through as Saki Akai looks forward to her match with Meiko Satomura on July 3rd.
HARASHIMA vs Seigo Tachibana
Seigo Tachibana was last seen in a DDT ring taking a loss to Nobuhiro Shimatani, but that hasn’t stopped him from doing whatever he could to try to take more time in a DDT ring. So in a match that has been labeled Road to the Top, he takes on HARASHIMA. An uphill climb for many wrestlers inside of DDT already, Seigo is going to need everything that he has in his toolbox to win against the Ace of DDT.
Akiyama-Gun (Jun Akiyama/Makoto Oishi/Hideki Okatani) vs ALL OUT (Konosuke Takeshita/Shunma Katsumata/Yuki Iino)
Jun Akiyama has gotten himself a nice little group over the course of these DDT TV Shows. And now they’ve obtained the attention of ALL OUT, one of the main units in the company. One of the interesting things to look out for is that it was originally going to be Mizuki Watase in the third slot, but Hideki Okatani insisted that he be on the team. Akiyama chose Okatani instead after he stood up to the leader of ALL OUT Konosuke Takeshita. A win here would be the biggest win for Okatani but will ALL OUT snuff out the army before it even forms?
DDT Universal Title: Daisuke Sasaki (c) vs Chris Brookes
This match has been a long time coming. Chris Brookes ever since losing the Universal title in his first defense has been on a warpath to get it back. He got a rematch although it was in a four-way match. He almost had it won hitting Naomi Yoshimura with the Praying Mantis Bomb but Daisuke Sasaki threw him out of the ring to get the win. After Peter Pan 2020 Night One Sasaki named Brookes’ Calimari Drunken Kings tag partner Masahiro Takanashi as his next challenger, the only problem being Takanashi would be out for months with a leg injury. When Takanashi came out to speak to Sasaki he was attacked by the champion and saved by Brookes. In response, the challenger’s nomination was transferred to Brookes setting up this challenge. Last week in a tag match Sasaki was able to make Brookes tap out in the middle of the ring, will we see the same result or will Brookes be able to reclaim the Universal title on DDT TV Show #8.
KO-D Tag Team Titles: Nautilus (Naomi Yoshimura/Yuki Ueno) (c) vs DAMNATION (Tetsuya Endo/Nobuhiro Shimatani)
Tetsuya Endo is down a piece of gold after last week, but he has a chance to claim another in its place in the main event of DDT TV Show #8. After Yuki Ueno cashed in the final right to challenge gauntlet to get a shot at Endo’s KO-D Openweight title and failed Endo challenged for the KO-D Tag Team titles with Nobuhiro Shimatani as his partner. Nautilus was able to retain against #STRONGHEARTS with the introduction of The WR. But other than that one moment DAMNATION has had the number of the champions, specifically Endo. It’s going to come down to a battle of wills to determine who will walk out as KO-D Tag Team champions.
