The return to shows with a live audience was always going to be a risky one for Dramatic Dream Team (DDT). However, no one could’ve expected the title changes that took place over the weekend. Over the two shows that the main brand ran, there were two new champions crowned with some surprising results.
The first one came during the 23rd Anniversary show Judgement, where Chris Brookes failed in his first defense of the Universal Title to DAMNATION‘s own Daisuke Sasaki. This one came as a shock, as with a new title it was surprising for the first champion to lose their first defense. Especially when it came to what the intended purpose of the belt being for. However, Daisuke Sasaki is a very good choice as a champion. The next title match coming up is Sasaki vs Antonio Honda on the 19th of April. Perhaps Sasaki will have better luck with the title.
The second title reign came at DDT “DRAMATIC HYAKUMANGOKU” 2020 in which the team of ALL OUT consisting of Konsuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata, and Yuki Iino failed in their fourth defense of the KO-D six-man tag titles to the team of #DAMNHEARTS. This rendition of the team consists of T-HAWK, El Lindaman, and Tetsuya Endo. This combination of DAMNATION and #StrongHearts was once known as Business Alliance but now combined their names. Their first Defense will be against the DISASTER BOX unit on the fourth of April.
Other things of note revolving around some titles, are the #DAMNHEARTS combination of CIMA and Soma Takao have announced their intentions to chase after the KO-D Tag team titles. Royce Chambers cashed in his Right to Challenge gauntlet on Endo’s Right to Challenge at Saitama Super Arena sword and failed deactivating that gauntlet. And finally, we had MAO winning a Gauntlet from Mad Paulie at DRAMATIC HYAKUMANGOKU.
