Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) and FREEDOMS worked together to bring the deathmatch promotion to be part of The Collective. This will be the first time the Japanese promotion will set foot on US soil therefore the company will be showing the best they have to offer. The first two announcements they started off with were a good feeling out process but now we have three more names announced for the show.
Toru Sugiura
The first of the three new announcements is arguably the most important as the 29-year-old is currently the holder of the King of FREEDOM world championship after unseating Jun Kasai for the title. Putting him at the top of the company. And his resume speaks for itself with the majority of his matches in the past year being deathmatches. He also has some tag-team experience holding the belts for over 400 days with Mammoth Sasaki and winning a lottery six-man tournament. Toru Sugiura is bound to make for an exciting addition for the FREEDOMS’ show.
Yuya Susumu
Yuya Susumu is one of FREEDOM’s more decorated athletes holding every title the company has to offer. He is the Current UWA Junior Heavyweight champion, holding it for his third reign. He has drifted away from the wilder deathmatches to focus on the junior scene. A reasonable expectation is that he is there to show off the more athletic capabilities of FREEDOMS. And when you look at the companies he’s been in such as All Japan Pro Wrestling and WRESTLE-1 it’s clear his abilities will shine.
Tomoya Hirata
Tomoya Hirata is the youngest talent announced for the show and also the least experienced. But don’t mistake that for being bad, the young talent has dove headfirst into FREEDOMS without any fear. Having taken part in deathmatches against some of the most experienced deathmatch workers in the company. He also has shown himself to be a journeyman appearing in companies like KAIENTAI DOJO, Dramatic Dream Team (DDT) and more recently Big Japan Wrestling (BJW). This United States show will be a chance for the young talent to perform under pressure and make a name for himself.
