Big Valley Wrestling (BVW) returns Sunday, October 20th with Tricks, Treats & Turmoil at the Sahara Event Center at 800 E. Karen in Las Vegas, NV. BVW started in 2014 by Benny Espinosa who told his son “when he retired he would start a wrestling company for him,” and thus BVW was formed. Espinosa started in wrestling selling concessions at the Riviera Hotel and then became Benny Diamond on the hit show G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling). Now he’s El Jefe for Big Valley and has had possibly the best year in their young history. They’ve booked talent like Ace Romero, Sefa Fatu, and Funny Bone this year and are seeing the results not only in match quality but also in attendance. BVW also has a slew of bright young stars like Tag team Sky High (Mondo Rox & Robbie Lit), Las Vegas Champion Kevin Ducqets, R.L. Washington, current BVW Tag Champs Fresco-Dinero (Fresco-Mattic & Mondo Dinero), and the “Songbird of Wrestling” Ricky Tenacious and his Tag team partner “Exceptional” Alexander Braven. There’s a lot to be excited about for the company as they move towards their 5th Anniversary Show on November 24 and beyond.
Big Valley Pro Wrestling Preview
“Dirty” Ron McDonald vs Da Shade w/ Santana Jackson
Fresh off his loss to Jackson at Biggest and Baddest on September 1st McDonald faces the ever-popular Shade. Da Shade recently dropped a BVW Title match to Frank “The Tank” and looks to get back in the win column.
Lumberjack Match: “The Urban Juggernaut” Sean Black vs SGT Major
SGT Major and BVW Las Vegas Champ Kevin Ducqets have been a thorn in Black’s side all summer when Kevin took him out of his BVW Title shots with SGT Major. Black and Major finally got their hands on each other in the Sin City Survivor Match at Biggest and the Baddest but were both eliminated when Black hit a massive spear that took out signage near the ring. The Big Valley roster will participate as the lumberjacks to keep these two beasts in the ring. Good luck lumberjacks. BVW Official announces that Black would be in line for a shot at Ducqets with a win.
Kevin Ducqets vs Elemento
Kevin Ducquets has been dominant in 2019 sans briefly dropping the Las Vegas Heavyweight Title to Leon Hater earlier this year there have been none better in Big Valley than he has. With his aggressive “punch you in the mouth style” Ducquets combines crisp striking with well-timed elbows and elbow drops. The Champ faces Elemento and needs to be careful he doesn’t get caught looking ahead to Sean Black or even Funny Bone.
Tricks or Treat 4 Way Match (Las Vegas Title #1 Contender Match: “The DEMIGOD of Death” Funny Bone vs “The High Flying Sensation” Steven Andrews vs “Charming” Biagio Crescenzo vs Simon Lotto w/ Wildhorse
The Charming one and “The High FlysensSensation” had a string of close competitive matches this summer that saw multiple draws until Crescenzo got his hand raised September 1st and a BVW contract. However, the margin between the two is razor thin and El Jefe Benny Espinosa awarded Edwards a contract too. A win here and their next bout is for the Title. Funny Bone may not have won his last few times out, but rest assured he’ll deliver a high-quality match. If you’ve seen a bad Funny Bone match it was you, not him. Every time he comes to fight and this one sets up well for him which is a nightmare scenario for anyone involved. Simon Lotto and Wildhorse returned Labor Day Weekend with a major statement or an unprovoked attack after a match. Either way Lotto returns looking to prove his loss to Andrews and Crescenzo was a fluke.
Big Valley Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championship: Fresco-Dinero (Fresco-Mattic & Mondo Dinero) (c) vs Exceptional & Tenacious (Ricky Tenacious & “Exceptional” Alexander Braven)
Will the real Fresco-Dinero please stand up? The Tag Team Champs won the belts from E&T earlier this year and looked unstoppable. Yet lately things haven’t gone according to plan Manager Primo Pulpo’s plan for the Champs including an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Congo Crush who pinned each guy in the Sin City Survivor Match. How will they respond? Former champs Exceptional and Tenacious get their rematch more than half a year later. While Fresco-Dinero flourished E&T languished dropping matches as partners and singles. Despite the setbacks, they were positioned to get the rematch if they beat Sky High. They controlled the match and grounded the brothers Mondo Rox and Robbie Lit. They’ve displayed a more vicious side recently which propelled them into this spot. Can they take advantage? Not only did Fresco-Dinero lose their match on September 1st, but they were attacked by the challengers afterward, so revenge is certainly a factor. Will the BVW Champs suspend the crowning of new Champions and get back on the fast track, or will the “Songbird of Wrestling” sing “We are the Champions” in December?
Also, fresh off his victory in the Sin City Survivor match Big Dirty will announce which Title he will wrestle for as a result of the win. BVW Heavyweight Champion Frank “The Tank” may get put on notice in this spot. Sky High is also on the card and hopes to rebound after their disappointing loss in September.
