Vancouver, British Columbia’s Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW) is the premier West Coast promotion in Canada and one of Canada’s most successful indie promotions of the past 20 years – WWE Superstars like Becky Lynch, Kyle O’Reilly, Tyler Breeze, The Singh Brothers, Chelsea Green and Natalya all came out of ECCW in the early days to name a few. They return this weekend for a two-night show at the legendary Commodore Ballroom featuring some of the best in West Coast Canadian indie talent, mixed with US Pacific Northwest and international stars for a series known as E11Even.

A big 8-person tag match featuring all kinds of styles, this one features a great cross-section of talent. ECCW veteran Jason Sullivan teams up with DEFY‘s wildman Drexl, former ECCW Champion Pete Powers and All Star Wrestling (ASW)‘s Adam Ryder to face a squad that features 6x ECCW Champion Scotty Mac, former ECCW Champion Air Adonis, former SHIMMER star Christina Von Eerie and newly returned Bullet Club member Chase Owens.

ECCW Canadian Championship, Street Fight: Eddie Osbourne (c) vs. B-Boy

17-year Canadian indie veteran Eddie Osbourne, who’s also a longtime regular with Ontario’s Pure Wrestling Alliance (PWA), where he’s the reigning 6x PWA Pure Wrestling Champion, defends his ECCW Canadian Championship against another West Coast veteran in 20-year indie legend B-Boy from San Diego. An early star with Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) and former Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) World Champion, B-Boy will prove to be a match to Osbourne’s experience factor.

ECCW Tag Team Championship, TLC Match: The Wisemen (Billy Suede & Tony Baroni) (c) vs. The Voros Twins (Chris & Patrick Voros) vs. Bird and King (Andy Bird & King of the Yukon) vs. Legacy and Beef (Nathan Legacy & Beefboy)

The ECCW Tag Team Championships will be defended in an insane Tables, Ladders & Chairs match as ECCW tag champs The Wisemen (Billy Suede & Tony Baroni) put it all on the line against rising stars The Voros Twins, who have won both the ECCW tag titles and DOA tag belts out of Portland, Oregon in 2018. Former ECCW Canadian Champion Andy Bird teams up with another former Canadian champ in King of the Yukon, and the tandem of Nathan Legacy and Beefboy also join the fray for a chance to claim ECCW tag team gold.

Flamita vs. Rey Horus

A little bit of Mexico comes to the Great White North, as two of Mexico’s hottest rising stars on the international scene go one on one in Vancouver on Friday night. Flamita has been setting the world on fire in tag team action the past year alongside Bandido, but with Bandido heading to Ring of Honor, Flamita is returning to singles action, which he is accustomed to with Dragon Gate in Japan. Rey Horus broke out nationally as Dragon Azteca Jr. on Lucha Underground but is gaining more momentum now as Rey Horus in the likes of PWG, DEFY Wrestling and Major League Wrestling (MLW).

ECCW Women’s Championship: Nicole Matthews (c) vs. Nicole Savoy

ECCW’s 5x Women’s Champ Nicole Matthews is no stranger to most indie fans. A longtime star with SHIMMER, DEFY Wrestling, Shine, and more, she also competed in the 2018 WWE Mae Young Classic. She puts her title on the line against a 2017 Mae Young Classic competitor and the reigning SHIMMER Champion Nicole Savoy, in what should be an instant classic.

ECCW Championship Match: El Phantasmo (c) vs. Artemis Spencer

The reigning 3x ECCW Champion El Phantasmo has been busy the past year. Apart from being one of Canada’s top indie stars internationally, he had a breakout year in the vibrant UK indie scene (where he’s worked the past two years), where he won the RevPro British J-Cup, where he’s defeated the likes of Jushin Thunder Liger, Jonathan Gresham, Bandido, KUSHIDA, and Rocky Romero. On Friday, he puts his ECCW title on the line against another Canadian indie star on the rise in Artemis Spencer, who had a breakout year of his own – at the end of the year, he defeated Shane Strickland to win the DEFY Championship in Seattle.

NIGHT 2

Scotty Mac vs. Jason Sullivan

Night two will feature one of ECCW’s most decorated Champions in Scotty Mac facing off against veteran Jason Sullivan, carrying over whatever bad blood may boil over when they face each other in tag action on night one.

Chase Owens, Fergie & ReLoaded (Jacky Lee & Shareef Morrow) vs. Shreddz, Steve West, Judas Icarus & Ladies Choice

Chase Owens returns for another 8-man tag match, this time teaming with another ECCW veteran in Fergie of the tag team Bishy Wishy. Together, they are joined by one of the most exciting new tag teams in ECCW in ReLoaded, featuring the emerging stars Jacky Lee and Shareef Morrow. Their opponents are lead by a veteran of another BC indie, Shreddz from Big West Wrestling (BWW) and the 4x BWW Television Champion is joined by a US Pacific Northwest indie veteran in Steve West of 3-2-1 BATTLE! and DEFY Wrestling. Former 3x ECCW Champion Ladies Choice, a long time staple of ECCW, and rising star Judas Icarus round out Shreddz’ team.

No Rules 4-Way: Darby Allin vs. Ravenous Randy vs. Bishop vs. Tony Barroni

Photo: ECCW

One of the top young stars on the US indie scene, the enigmatic Darby Allin from EVOLVE Wrestling, returns to ECCW after a few years off. The young man from Seattle worked with ECCW early in his career before moving on to the East Coast. He joins a No Rules Fatal 4-Way that also includes “Ravenous” Randy Myers, whose antics have made him a cult star in the Pacific Northwest, as both a former ECCW Champion, and his work with DEFY and DOA as well. Bishop is normally in tag action alongside Fergie in Bishy Wishy, but he’s on his own, as is another tag team veteran Tony Baroni of the ECCW Tag Team Champions The Wisemen.

ECCW Canadian Championship: Eddie Osbourne (c) vs. Artemis Spencer vs. Rey Horus vs. Flamita

Photo: ECCW

If Eddie Osbourne successful defends his ECCW Canadian Championship on Night One against B-Boy he’s title gets even tougher to keep, as he enters a Fatal 4-Way that includes reigning DEFY Champion Artemis Spencer and the two lucha libre imports Flamita and Rey Horus, in what is sure to be an exciting matchup.

ECCW Women’s Championship: Nicole Matthews (c) vs. Riea Von Slasher

Photo: ECCW

Nicole Matthews will have to make sure she retains on Friday against Nicole Savoy, because she’s slated to defend again on Saturday. Riea Von Slasher is only 30 years old, but she’s already a 15 year veteran of the Canadian indie scene. Von Slasher won’t take it easy on Matthews after a big fight the night before, and she’ll be looking to add more gold to her trophy case.

ECCW Championship: El Phantasmo (c) vs. Frankie Kazarian

Photo: ECCW

Like other ECCW Champions Nicole Matthews and Eddie Osbourne, El Phantasmo has a second title defense on Saturday, should he retain against DEFY Champ Artemis Spencer. This time he faces former Ring of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling (and soon to be All Elite Wrestling) star and SCU member Frankie Kazarian in a clash of old school vs. new school that will surely blow the roof off the Commodore Ballroom.
