#100Tixfor100Kids: Paradox Wrestling is Helping Kids See their First Wrestling Show

Paradox Wrestling

Think back to your first-ever wrestling show. For most, it probably happened when you were a kid during a time in your life when the phrase “suspension of disbelief” didn’t even register, when you didn’t question a promotion’s booking, and you probably had never even heard the word kayfabe let alone understood what it meant, or what the difference between a shoot and a work was. Wrestlers weren’t babyfaces or heels but rather good guys and bad guys, and chances are back then, you cheered for the so-called good guys a lot more than you do today. That’s because they were larger than life characters, guys and girls you looked up to as heroes.

Childhood was a time when wrestling was still real to you, dammit, and the memories and moments you have from the first time you saw that first show live are probably ones that still stick with you to this day.

Paradox Wrestling, a new company based out of California, wants to help give local kids from the Merced County Boys and Girls Club, the chance to experience their first show through an effort called, #100kids100tickets.

“While this is a new company in name and promotion, our group has been in the business for well over 25 years and we know that it’s expensive to run shows,” a spokesperson for Paradox said. “We wanted kids to have access to a company that is quality, but also get the community involved as indie fans are some of the most amazing people on the planet.”

The concept was a simple one. Fans were able to purchase their own tickets to the show on November 3rd but were also given the opportunity to purchase an additional general admission ticket that would be donated to the Boys and Girls Club. For fans outside of California who wouldn’t be able to make it to the show, this was a great feel-good opportunity and one that was not without its own reward.

Everyone that bought a ticket for a kid will receive a DVD of Paradox’s debut show, “Sequel to the Prequel.” Paradox even offered a special offer where anyone that bought more than one ticket would receive a signed copy of the DVD from several of the wrestlers on the card. And for the company’s first ever show, the card is absolutely stacked.

The headlining match will see Brian Cage take on Brody King for the first-time ever in singles action. King and Cage have met just twice before, the first in an eight-man tag in 2017 and the most recent at Bar Wrestling, where Violence Unlimted (Brody King and Tyler Bateman) defeated the team of Cage and Jeff Cobb. With Cage’s team winning the first meeting, these two absolute monsters are 1-1 against each other.

Another extremely high profile match pits Zachary Wentz against Sammy Guevara for the first-time ever in singles action. These two have wrestled just once prior as Guevara, representing WrestleCircus, defeated Wentz who as a member of Team Wrestling Revolver at a co-branded event, Midnight-Ish After Mania in 2017. Both Guevara and Wentz are two guys who are on the rise and seeing them go head-to-head is going to be an absolute treat for all those in attendance and all those who will receive their DVDs.

Also signed to appear are Killer Kross, Eli Everfly, Delilah Doom, Douglas James, Tyler Bateman, Jake Atlas and so much more.

“A Paradox show is going to be something to experience,” the company’s spokesperson said. “Or shows are simple and straightforward. We present a card that is going to kick ass, doesn’t matter if you come at the beginning, middle or end. Any match you see will be worth the money you pay.”

According to Paradox’s spokesperson, the #100kids100tickets campaign is just the beginning. The company has already begun, through their Twitter platform, to reach out to 10,000 wrestling fans in the U.S. The end result of that will no doubt be a company and product that people can’t wait to sink their teeth into.

If you’d like to be one of those 10,000 fans, hit up Paradox Wrestling on Twitter: @ParadoxPW and make sure to follow the new company as they make their mark on the wrestling industry with help from fans all over the country.
