Tama Tonga Declares ‘The Cut Throat Era’ of Bullet Club is Here

Tama Tonga has been on fire this year, ever since he and his brother, Tanga Loa, and their father, WWE/WCW Legend Haku, arrived at the NJPW G1 Special in San Francisco as “The Firing Squad” to clean house of the rapidly expanding Bullet Club. Since then, the Guerrillas of Destiny – alongside Bad Luck Fale and “Bone Soldier” Taiji Ishimori – have been rebuilding Bullet Club while also actively making sure that The EliteKenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, Hangman Page and “The Villain” Marty Scurll – and other members like Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi realize that their services are no longer required – nor welcomed – in Bullet Club any longer. And with all The Elite members officially declaring their latest Bullet Club style shirts were their last ever Bullet Club shirts, it would appear they got the hint.

The revamp of the new era of Bullet Club took a huge turn at NJPW King of Pro Wrestling earlier this month, first with Ishimori’s announcement he’d be forming a new tag team with Aussie indie star Robbie Eagles, then the huge swerve later on when Jay White, Gedo and Jado all joined the squad. As it would unfold in the next few days following, it would almost appear like Jay White was always destined to join Bullet Club. With the new squad aligned, Tonga also stated that they were still not done filling the ranks of the new squad, now commonly referred to as Bullet Club OG (or BCOG).

As the BCOG continued momentum, such as the new tandem of Ishimori and Eagles having a solid start to the NJPW Junior Tag League, Tonga declared that a new era of Bullet Club was officially upon us. And he declared this new era ‘The Cut Throat Era’.

But many fans were wondering if this all meant that “Switchblade” Jay White would assume the mantel as the new “leader” of Bullet Club, now that Omega had been ousted (and despite Tonga’s previous comments that there was never a leader in the group but instead “front men”). Jay White quickly put those rumors to rest.

Bullet Club seems more focused on unity more so than ever and it will interesting to see what new members BCOG decide to add to the roster as they prepare to unleash the fury and chaos that made Bullet Club the Bullet Club in the first place.
