Ronda Rousey at NXT Live Event, 4 Horsewomen at WM34?

At the NXT Live Event in Riverside, California tonight, there was much buzz on Twitter following the reveal that Ronday Rousey was in attendance. Rousey has reportedly started training at the WWE Performance Center, joining her fellow MMA Four Horsewomen stable mate Shayna Baszler, as well as Jessamyn Duke, who recently starting training for her own pro wrestling career. The fourth horsewoman, Marina Shafir, is already familiar around NXT, as the wife of NXT Superstar Roderick Strong, featured in Strong’s feud with former NXT Champion Bobby Roode.

The appearance comes hot off the heels of Dave Meltzer reporting in the new Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the rumoured Four Horsewomen match between the MMA stable and the NXT Horsewomen – Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley and Becky Lynch – is now slated to happen at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans on April 8, 2018. While originally rumoured to be happening at next Sunday’s Survivor Series when the two groups got into it during the Mae Young Classic, apparently Vince McMahon thinks the move to WrestleMania will give the MMA competitors more time to train for the move to professional wrestling, and that having Ronda Rousey’s debut match at the Showcase of the Immortals will be a huge mainstream draw, for press and fans alike.
