Von Miller is one of the greatest players of his generation, and the future Hall of Famer is still looking for his next team. Selected with the second-overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Texas A&M product immediately established himself as one of the game’s elite pass rushers, making eight Pro Bowls during his first nine years in the league, earning First-Team All-Pro honors three times, winning two Super Bowls, and even earning Super Bowl 50 MVP honors.
While age has done a number on him and he’s no longer an elite player, Von Miller proved he can still be productive in a situational role. While the 2025 Washington Commanders had a disappointing season overall, Miller played well in a supporting role. Appearing in 17 games while making three starts, the veteran finished the season with nine sacks, 26 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, and 15 quarterback hits.
At this stage in his career, Von Miller is nothing more than a situational pass rusher. He’s also at an age where he’s selective about his next destination, and he recently spoke about his desire to return to where it all began in Mile High.
“I lobbied, I do lobby, I lobbied publicly, privately, so I lobbied [to return to Denver],” Miller said. “I think there’s no question the type of environment I bring to a locker room, I think there’s no question the type of environment I bring to a team…I would love to contribute to us getting back to the glory land, to holding up that trophy. I would love to come back home and do that for the organization that has given me so much.”
Von Miller Wants To Reunite With Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos, of course, enter the 2025 season with Super Bowl aspirations. The team made it all the way to the AFC Championship and may have advanced to the Super Bowl had quarterback Bo Nix not suffered a season-ending ankle injury against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round. With Nix returning to health and the team adding a big-name playmaker in Miami’s Jaylen Waddle, the sky is the limit for this organization.
Denver already has two reliable pass rushers in Nick Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper, so they don’t really need Von Miller. However, there is no such thing as too many good pass rushers, and Miller could be a nice depth piece or even an injury reinforcement down the road.
