Woody Marks Injury Update: RB’s Status Revealed For Raiders-Texans

Houston Texans running back Woody Marks left Sunday’s win over the Arizona Cardinals with an ankle injury, but all signs point towards him being healthy for Week 16’s showdown against the Las Vegas Raiders. While he is officially day-to-day, head coach DeMeco Ryans said Marks could have returned to last week’s contest, but the team chose to keep him on the sidelines and not risk re-injuring him once the score got out of hand.

Woody Marks Injury Update: Texans RB Should Be Fine For Week 16

With Marks sidelined for a sizable portion of the game and veteran Nick Chubb battling an injury of his own, the Texans turned to Jawhar Jordan to carry the rushing attack. Jordan was up to the task, finishing the night with 101 rushing yards on 15 attempts. Assuming the injury doesn’t sideline him, Woody Marks will remain the starter, but Jordan proved he can handle increased responsibilities in the offense.

The 2025 season has been a promising one for Woody Marks. Brought on to a wide-open depth chart, the fourth-round pick has appeared in 14 games while officially making six starts. While on the field, the USC product has recorded 584 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 167 carries while adding an additional 21 receptions for 204 yards through the air. He hasn’t set the world on fire, but he’s done a solid job filling in for the injured Joe Mixon.

After a slow start to the season, the Houston Texans are now comfortably in the playoff picture and are fighting for the AFC South crown. Currently holding a 9-5 record, the Texans will hope Woody Marks can overcome his injury and lead this rushing attack on a deep playoff run. While they shouldn’t need his help to defeat an underwhelming Raiders squad in Week 16, they will need him for January.
