Fantasy Football Buy/Sell/Hold Week 7

It’s Week 7 of fantasy football action, and as I do every week, I’ll break down the players I think you should buy low, sell high, or hold onto as the fantasy season unfolds. Whether you’re chasing a playoff spot or trying to keep your roster steady, these moves can give you the edge you need to stay ahead of the competition.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Buy/Sell/Hold

Buy – Breece Hall

The Jets so far this year have been a train wreck, but one of the few bright spots has been Hall. The numbers, you might say, don’t show it, but let’s look deeper. He’s averaging 14.6 rushing yards per game, 3 targets per game, 68.3 rushing yards per game, and also carrying 64.6% of the team’s carries. The crazy stat is Hall has ZERO touchdowns on the year and is only 20 fantasy points within the top 11 while playing every week on a train wreck of a team whose quarterback vultures a majority of the rushing touchdowns. Let’s hope Breece gets traded with the deadline approaching.

Sell – Tony Pollard

Pollard was a fantastic late-round draft pick for fantasy owners, but the caveat was always that Spears would be making a return around Week 5. Pollard was averaging 18 carries a game in the first three weeks, which is RB1 usage, but unfortunately, over the last three weeks, his usage has dropped to 12.6 attempts per game. I expect Pollard to continue to be the lead back, but won’t get elite RB1 usage with Spears back in the picture. The Titans being the dumpster first, they are, it may not be the easiest trade to deal Pollard, but it won’t be impossible.

Sell – Rico Dowdle

Rico has been a man on a mission the last two weeks. As a Dowdle owner, I just wish Chuba would go away, but unfortunately, the Panthers love running the ball in a time-share committee. If you have depth at the running back position, I wouldn’t necessarily say you need to sell Rico, but if you are thin at the position, I would be trying to sell for a Bucky Irving or maybe even an upset Barkley owner. Although Rico looked possessed the last two weeks, what he did isn’t sustainable. A player putting up video game numbers in fantasy is a fantastic feeling as an owner, but I do believe he comes back to reality this week because of head coach Dave Canales and Chuba Hubbard.
