First-Year Raven Thinks He’s Missing Piece For Baltimore’s Offense

The Baltimore Ravens have consistently been one of the league’s more talented teams since Lamar Jackson took over midway through the 2018 season, and free agent addition DeAndre Hopkins believes he can be the missing piece to get this team to the Super Bowl. After spending the 2024 season with the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs, the five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro signed a one-year, $5 million deal to serve as the depth for Pro Bowler Zay Flowers and the recently extended Rashod Bateman.

While Hopkins isn’t the player he once was, the 33-year-old believes he can be a vital part of this passing attack and could be the missing piece for this team.

“It seems like there’s been a piece that’s been missing,” Hopkins said. “I could be that addition. I could not be that addition.”

DeAndre Hopkins: I Could Be Ravens Missing Piece

If the Ravens don’t make the Super Bowl in 2025, it won’t be due to a lack of talent. It all starts at the quarterback position, and Lamar Jackson is one of the game’s elite all-around threats. In addition to DeAndre Hopkins, the Ravens offense is complemented by receivers Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman, along with tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. If all this wasn’t enough, Baltimore also has the game’s most dangerous downhill runner in Derrick Henry.

Only time will tell what DeAndre Hopkins can bring to the Ravens. Last year, the wide receiver finished the season with 56 receptions for 610 yards and five touchdowns while splitting time between Tennessee and Kansas City. With his help, the Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl but lost in blowout fashion to the Philadelphia Eagles.
