Gabriel Davis spent the 2024 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars after signing a massive three-year, $39 million contract in free agency. Unfortunately, the wide receiver couldn’t live up to the massive expectations of such a deal, as he recorded just 20 receptions for 239 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. Jacksonville cleared house following the disappointing season, and first-year head coach Liam Coen released the veteran following one disappointing campaign.

Davis originally entered the league as a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Selected by the Buffalo Bills, the Central Florida product made a positive impression right out of the gate. Appearing in 16 games while making 11 starts, the rookie finished his inaugural season with 35 receptions for 599 yards and seven touchdowns on 62 targets. He saw a similar role in 2021, finishing the year with 35 receptions for 549 yards and six touchdowns.

The wide receiver became a full-time starter in 2022 and, while he never became an elite threat, served a valuable role as a complementary player in the offense. Starting 15 games, he finished his third year in the league with 48 receptions for 836 yards and seven touchdowns. He had another strong season in 2023, recording 45 receptions for 746 yards and seven touchdowns. With his help, Buffalo made it to the playoffs in each of his four years with the team, but they never made the Super Bowl.

Since signing his rookie contract, Gabriel Davis has appeared in 74 games while making 56 starts. While on the field, the veteran has recorded 183 receptions for 2,969 yards and 29 touchdowns on 341 targets, most of which came during his four seasons with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
