After spending six years at the collegiate level, offensive tackle Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. Originally debuting with San Diego State, the big-bodied blocker transferred to Florida and spent the 2024 season blocking for the Gators. Crenshaw-Dickson showed plenty of promise in his new environment, appearing in 12 games while playing 685 snaps. According to Pro Football Focus, he only allowed one sack, no hits, and 11 hurries on the season while providing strong play in the run game.
Brandon Crenshaw originally joined the college football world with San Diego State in 2019 but didn’t earn a starting job until 2021. After spending his early years at right tackle, he moved to left tackle for half of 2023 before going back to the right side with Florida in 2024.
Strengths
- Massive frame – elite height, arm length, hand size, and wingspan for the position;
- Experienced at left and right tackle – should provide versatility as a top bench option;
- Bulldozes over linebackers in the run game;
- Most edge defenders won’t be strong enough to move him and could add more muscle with an NFL training program;
- Smart blocker who knows how to counter opposing rushers.
Weaknesses
- Slow to counter speed rushers – must improve foot speed to stay at tackle;
- Elite bull rushers can push him around – shouldn’t happen to a guy with his build;
- Long, lumbering movements can be exploited by faster players;
- Struggles to get low and engage defenders on occasion;
- Old – turned 24 in February.

Bottom Line on Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson enters the NFL Draft as a player who will likely become a high-end backup or low-end starter at the next level. Size is crucial for the tackle position, and Crenshaw-Dickson has plenty of that. Measuring in at 6′-7″ and with 34″ arms, the Florida product has the physical measurements to play in the NFL. He’s fantastic as a downhill run blockers, as defenders simply don’t have the ability to fight back when he hits them square in the chest. He’s similarly effective as a pass blocker, as his massive build gives him a sizable advantage against most bull rushes. While some players are able to push him around, Crenshaw-Dickson has room to add muscle to his frame, so this shouldn’t be an issue after a year or two with an NFL strength program.
However, there is some give and take with being so big. As one might expect, Crenshaw-Dickson isn’t the quickest on his feet and struggles to match speed rushers. This probably won’t improve as he adds more muscle, which puts a considerable ceiling on his overall ability. Additionally, it’s concerning that he’s already 24 and most of his best film came against players that were two or three years younger than him.
Ultimately, Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson has some impressive traits but has too many weaknesses to justify anything more than a Day 3 pick in the NFL Draft. He’ll start his career as a backup but can still bring value to his team in this role. He played right and left tackle in college and can jump in at either position at a moment’s notice. With the right coaching staff, he could develop into a solid starter in a year or two, but he probably won’t ever be a Pro Bowl type of player.
