The 2024 season was a somewhat disappointing one for Nate Hobbs. Following a strong 2023, the cornerback entered the season as a starter under head coach Antonio Pierce. Unfortunately, injuries limited him to 11 games and seven starts. During his time on the field, Hobbs recorded one interception, five passes defended, 49 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, one quarterback hit, and a 61.4 PFF grade, the 73rd-best mark out of 116 eligible players. The Raiders had a similarly disappointing season, missing the playoffs and firing Pierce after the year.

Nate Hobbs originally entered the league as a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Selected by the Las Vegas Raiders, the Illinois product overcame his underwhelming draft capital and became a key part of the defense. Appearing in 16 games while making nine starts, the rookie finished his inaugural season with one interception, three passes defended, one forced fumble, one sack, 74 tackles, three tackles-for-loss, four quarterback hits, and an 80.1 PFF grade. With his help, Vegas made the playoffs but lost in the Wild Card Round to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Unfortunately, Hobbs took a step back in 2022. Starting and appearing in 11 games, Hobbs recorded four passes defended, one sack, 72 tackles, three tackles-for-loss, one quarterback hit, and a 60.9 PFF grade. The Raiders themselves took a step back, failing to make the playoffs under first-year head coach Josh McDaniels. Fortunately, he bounced back in 2023 with a 69.0 PFF grade during his third season.

Since signing his rookie contract, Nate Hobbs has appeared in 51 games while making 38 starts. While on the field, the Illinois product has recorded three interceptions, 19 passes defended, three forced fumbles, three sacks, 281 tackles, 14 tackles-for-loss, and eight quarterback hits.
