Tetairoa McMillan: Rookie Wide Receiver Dynasty Outlook

Tetairoa McMillan is going into rookie drafts for dynasty leagues as the top receiving target. After three strong seasons as Arizona, he will be turning to the NFL and has WR1 potential written all over him. Let’s take a look at McMillan’s dynasty outlook for his rookie season.

Tetairoa McMillan: Rookie Wide Receiver Dynasty Outlook

Current Performance

As a junior at Arizona, McMillan recorded 84 receptions for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns. He averaged 15.7 yards per reception with the Wildcats. McMillan came up just short on career highs in all of those statistical categories, but it was always going to be difficult to replicate how he performed in 2023.

Based on his 2024 stats, McMillan would have finished with 179.9 fantasy points in standard leagues. With an approximate 20% decrease due to the transition of moving to the NFL, that would bring his total to 143.92 points. This would have seen him finish as the WR20 just behind A.J. Brown and Tee Higgins.

In PPR leagues, McMillan would have finished with 210.92 fantasy points. This would have seen him finish as the WR23 just ahead of Texans star receiver Nico Collins. Collins missed some time in 2024 due to injury, but McMillan still would have been up there with the best of the best.

KeepTradeCut has not been updated yet to include the 2025 rookies, but PFF just released a top 200 players for 2025 dynasty leagues. McMillan is listed as the 22nd player overall and the WR12 just behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and ahead of Chargers phenom Ladd McConkey. However, it is important to note PFF’s list was for single-quarterback leagues. KeepTradeCut rankings have been based on superflex leagues.

Nobody has done any of rookie drafts yet, but it’s obvious McMillan will be a first-round pick when the time comes. Even in a superflex league, he’s expected to go in the top five picks. It would certainly require an early first to draft McMillan, but acquiring that pick won’t come easy.

Tetairoa McMillan’s 2025 Stat Projections and Potential Landing Spots

Any team that drafts McMillan will more than likely make him their WR1. The only way he would be a WR2 is if he fell to a team like the Dallas Cowboys and formed a dynamic duo with CeeDee Lamb. However, he is expected to go in the top 10 to a team that would make him the primary pass catcher.

The ideal landing spot would be with the New England Patriots. Drake Maye would finally have a true WR1, and the Patriots offense is desperate for playmakers. If he doesn’t go to New England, teams like the Las Vegas Raiders or New Orleans Saints may scoop him up. The Raiders also need a true WR1 while the Saints are looking for insurance with Chris Olave’s health in question.

Going off of McMillan’s 2024 season with Arizona, he’s very likely to surpass 1,000 yards in his rookie season. The best approximation for his stat line would be: 93 catches for 1,098 yards and eight touchdowns. However, he has the potential to produce even better than Malik Nabers did for the Giants last season.
