Tetairoa McMillan 2025 NFL Scouting Report

Tetairoa McMillan NFL Draft Overview

Almost every year, an elite wideout prospects are entering the NFL Draft. More than ever before, notable Rookie WRS is immediately impacting their respective teams’ win-loss column. In the 2025 NFL Draft, there will be multiple WR prospects, such as Travis Hunter, Luther Burden, and Emeka Eubuka. However, one that stands out the most is Arizona Wildcat Tetairoa McMillan. McMillan was a highly rated four-star recruit out of Anaheim, California, and committed to the Arizona Wildcats. As a Wildcat, McMillan has dominated the competition since day one. As a freshman, he recorded 39 catches, 702 yards, and eight touchdowns. McMillan exploded as a sophomore with 90 catches, 1402 yards, and 10 touchdowns. So far, McMillan is still terrorizing defenses and is a certified first-round pick. However, how high in the first round should he go? Let’s dig into the film.

Position: Wide Receiver
School: Arizona
Age: 21 years old

Height: 6’5 inches

Weight: 212 lbs

Tetairoa McMillan Player Evaluation

McMillan’s Strengths

  • Possesses Elite Height, weight, and length for the X receiver position. It’s an instant mismatch nightmare for defenses on day one in the NFL. He has good flexibility in his legs and long arms to attack the football.
  • Has Elite body control and adjustment skills. A jump ball nightmare with his volleyball background and ability to flash late hands. He has made multiple great catches along the sideline, getting two feet inbounds.
  • He is an Inside and outside threat as a Wide receiver. Can play slot and outside diversity weapon
  • He displays very soft hands and easily catches the football. With his great length and explosion, he has a great catch radius.
  • He plays in a pro-style offense that requires crisp routes with good stem work. McMillan executes those duties very well for a young player his size. He does a good job creating separation on short, intermediate, and deep patterns.
  • He has an underrated explosion off the line of scrimmage, which helps with his release packages. The initial burst off the line and size make it hard to press, which translates to the next level.
  • Has the skills of an NFL vet. Good at finding soft spots against zone coverage and flashes late hands to confuse the defender. He knows how to set up his routes, which are almost impossible to cover one-on-one.
  • Proven production against top-tier competition. McMillan is a prime-time player and a big playmaker. Loves to rise to the occasion.

McMillan’s Weakness

  • I would like to see more devastation in the run-blocking for a man his size.
  • If improvement is made in technique and added NFL Strength could become a all-around threat at Wideout
  • He is a little wiry and slim for 6’5″. I would like to see him gain a good ten pounds of muscle to reach his maximum ceiling.
  • He can sometimes get lazy with routes because he’s so darn good at jump balls.
  • He doesn’t want to be reliant on jump balls against NFL Corners.
  • He has good speed but does not have the elite speed trait to consistently beat NFL Secondary’s deep. Limits his ceiling.

Projection: Top 10 Pick

Best Fits: Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, and the New Orleans Saints.

Bottom Line

Tetairoa McMillan projects as a future star Wide Receiver at the NFL Level. With his elite size, impressive catch radius, and crisp route running, McMillan will be a legit number-one receiver for years to come.
