Two weeks of the NFL season have passed, showcasing great performances, disappointments, and key injuries. As a new week begins, it’s the perfect time to capitalize on favorable situations and make a smart trade. Here is the Week 3 Buy Sell Report.
Fantasy Football Week 3 Buy/Sell
Buy Garrett Wilson
Wilson has been the alpha wide receiver for the Jets but has failed to get more than 60 yards in the first two games. He had six catches for 60 yards, followed by four for 57 yards. He has 22.2 fantasy points through the first two weeks. Fantasy managers who drafted him in the first round were expecting a lot more than 11.1 points per game. However, according to Dwain McFarland, Wilson has run a route on every throw this year, has a 29% target share, and a 45% air yard share. Despite not breaking a big play or scoring a touchdown yet, he is getting plenty of opportunities. With limited offensive weapons aside from Breece Hall and Braelon Allen, who scored all three touchdowns in the Jets’ Week 2 win over Tennessee, Wilson’s touchdowns are bound to come. Now is the perfect time to see if you can buy low on him.

Buy Zack Moss
Moss had a poor Week 2 performance totaling 34 rushing yards while adding one catch for 13 yards. However, he seems to be the RB1 on the Bengals. He came into the year in a split with Chase Brown, but Moss has outrushed him in both games. Moss has 21 total carries while Brown only has seven. Brown didn’t even have any targets in Week 2 after having three in Week 1. Though Moss hasn’t capitalized on his opportunities yet, much of that can be attributed to the Bengals’ overall struggles on offense. As their offense improves, Moss should see more scoring opportunities, making him an appealing buy-low candidate.
Sell Calvin Ridley
Ridley had a big Week 2, having four receptions for 77 yards and one touchdown while adding a 10-yard rushing touchdown. He finished with 24.7 fantasy points. Ridley did this on just six targets and one rushing attempt. The rushing touchdown was the first of his career and likely a fluke, as he’s not typically involved in the ground game. Additionally, DeAndre Hopkins, still recovering from a preseason injury, saw only two targets in Week 2 and one in Week 1. Hopkins will see more targets in future games which will lower Ridley’s targets. Ridley will not get enough targets to have consistent fantasy days making now a good time to trade him away.
Sell J.K. Dobbins
Dobbins is off to a great start to the 2024 NFL season finishing with 22.9 and 20.1 fantasy points. He has over 130 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown in both games. However, he is splitting carries with Gus Edwards. In Week 1, Edwards had 11 carries while Dobbins had 10. In Week 2, Edwards had 18 and Dobbins had 17. Despite Dobbins being more effective, the Chargers are managing his workload carefully due to his injury history, keeping the split even. Dobbins is averaging 9.85 yards per carry which is unstainable. Now is the time to trade him before his efficiency drops or before he suffers another injury.
Sell Devin Singletary
Singletary had a nice Week 2, totaling 14.5 fantasy points on 95 rushing yards, one touchdown, and one fumble lost, and added one catch for zero yards against a weak Commanders defense. Despite a 73% carry share and backup Tyrone Tracy Jr. only getting one carry, Singletary’s performance still fell short of 15 fantasy points. Singletary is not effective enough to continue this every week. The Giants are going to be trailing most games and are going to have to throw. Tracy will be the pass catcher out of the backfield, as he was a former wide receiver. Malik Nabers is the only Giants player worth starting weekly in fantasy Trade Singletary away after he had a good week, as he will not keep this up.
