Kyler Murray rebounded nicely from an ACL injury in the second half of last season and now comes into 2024 fully healthy, and ready to run wild. The Arizona Cardinals drafted a new weapon for him to throw to, making this offense much better than last year. If he can stay healthy, Murray is a favorite mid-round quarterback draft pick in the fantasy community.

2024 Fantasy Football Draft Guide
2023 in Review
Kyler Murray tore his ACL in the second half of 2022, causing him to miss the first half of the 2023 season. He returned in Week 10 and had a solid second half of the season. In eight games, Murray had 1799 passing yards and ten passing touchdowns. He added 244 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. He would have been on pace for over 3500 passing yards and 500 rushing yards for an entire season. Murray was in the 91st percentile among QBs in yards per carry and in the 80th percentile in total goal-line carries in just eight games played. Even coming off the injury, Murray had no fear of running wild.

According to Berry's 100 Facts: Murray is 5th in PPG for QBs since entering the league

According to Matthew Berry’s 100 Facts for the 2024 Fantasy Season, Kyler Murray is fifth among all QBs since he entered the NFL in career fantasy points per game. When healthy, Murray is one of the best players in real life and in fantasy. However, the concern has been staying healthy as in the last three years he has played in 14, 11, and 8 games. His ACL injury cost him games in both 2022 and 2023, though. Murray is going to enter 2024 in full health.
2024 Projection
The offense around Murray was not great last season, especially with Marquise Brown dealing with injuries. Brown is gone to Kansas City, but the Cardinals drafted superstar wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The rest of the wide receivers around Murray are not great. They have Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, and Zay Jones, but Harrison is a special talent. Murray also has a great tight end, Trey McBride. Murray has two solid weapons to throw to.
The Cardinals should have a nice run-pass balance early in games with veteran RB James Conner and rookie RB Trey Benson. The Cardinals are projected to have one of the worst defenses in the league, meaning they will be trailing a lot and needing to pass to score points quickly. Murray is going to be in favorable game scripts to pass the ball. Opposing defense will play softer coverage at the end of games, giving Murray lots of garbage time fantasy points.
Kyler Murray Fantasy Football ADP
According to FantasyPros ADP, Murray is the QB10 off the board in fantasy football drafts right now. He is going right next to Dak Prescott and Jordan Love as they close out this tier of quarterbacks before the next one, Brock Purdy, is going almost 30 picks later. Murray has more rushing upside than Prescott and Love, meaning he can easily score more fantasy points than both of them.
Kyler Murray is fifth in career fantasy points per game, but being drafted as the QB10 which gives him great value right now.
