Former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham is arguably the best free agent remaining at his position. Formerly considered one of the game’s elite players, the three-time Pro Bowler returned to the field in 2023 and proved that he can still play at an NFL level. While he’s not the same unstoppable force from the mid-2010’s, the wide receiver finished the season with a respectable 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns on 64 targets.
Odell Beckham needed some time to kick off the rust following a lost 2022, but the free agent came alive in the back half of 2023. Even though he’s no longer capable of being the top option in a passing attack, the former first-round pick can still be a reliable second or third option in a high-volume passing attack.
As of this posting, Odell Beckham is still a free agent, but that could change soon. Five-time All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill recently took to Snapchat, posing a picture of him and Beckham with the caption “OBJ to Miami confirmed.”

Tyreek Hill Hints That Free Agent Odell Beckham Will Sign With Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins had a rough offseason, as the cash-strapped club lost several key playmakers to the open market. Odell Beckham won’t replace Robert Hunt or Christian Wilkins, but the free agent could add some much-needed depth to this passing attack. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are the most dangerous receiving duo in football, but they could use a better third option than Braxton Berrios.
Even if Odell Beckham never improves from his 2023 form, the free agent is more than capable of getting open in Mike McDaniels’ receiver-friendly scheme. With the Bills trading Stefon Diggs and the Jets season hinging on Aaron Rodgers’ Achilles recovery, this could be Miami’s best chance to win a division for quite some time.
Of course, Hill’s post is not official, so Odell Beckham could sign with any team as a free agent. While he could end up with the Miami Dolphins, these other five teams will be in the running for his services.
Other Potential Team Fits
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs will need some wide receiver help sooner rather than later. Rashee Rice admitted that he was driving during the six-car crash, which means he will face charges and could miss a good portion of the season. With Rice sidelined, Marquise Brown is the only other receiver of note on the roster. While the former Cardinal is a good deep threat, this team needs somebody capable of consistently moving the chains on intermediate routes. Odell Beckham is the perfect free agent for the job and should be a reliable third option behind Brown and Travis Kelce.
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills decided that Stefon Diggs wasn’t worth the headache, but now they need to find some way to support Josh Allen. While the team will likely take a receiver early in the 2024 NFL Draft, they need somebody who can contribute right out of the gate. Odell Beckham should fit in Buffalo’s free agent budget and pairs nicely with Curtis Samuel, Khalil Shakir, and Dalton Kincaid. While there’s no superstar here, each player is capable of being a complementary part of the passing attack.
Los Angeles Chargers
Odell Beckham is a shell of his former self, but the free agent would still be the best receiver on the Chargers. Justin Herbert is currently in an impossible situation, and he needs all the help he can get. With no other reliable wide receivers, Beckham should enjoy the idea of being the primary option for one of the game’s best quarterbacks.
Carolina Panthers
Much like the Buffalo Bills, the Panthers are hoping their offense can function with multiple reliable role players, rather than one superstar. Diontae Johnson and Adam Thielen are reliable veterans, and the team will probably use one of their second-round picks on a receiver, but Bryce Young could use another set of hands. If the team add Odell Beckham to their free agent haul and Young still can’t succeed, then Carolina will have to look somewhere else in 2025.
New England Patriots
The Patriots are going to take a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft, but that player will have a tough time succeeding in this environment. Kendrick Bourne and Demario Douglas are better off in smaller roles, and nobody else on the roster is even worth mentioning. New England has the money to sign any free agent they want, and Odell Beckham should be atop their wish list.
