Six-year veteran interior offensive lineman Connor Williams signed a new contract with the TEAM. Williams, a former second-round pick, spent the 2023 season with the Miami Dolphins but has also played for the Dallas Cowboys.

Connor Williams, TEAM, Agree To Contract
Connor Williams has improved every single year of his career, and that trend continued in the final year of his contract. Starting and appearing in nine games, the offensive lineman finished the season with an 86.5 PFF grade, good for the second-best mark out of 36 eligible centers.
Unfortunately, there is a reason he only played in nine games. Williams struggled to stay on his feet in 2023, suffering a groin injury early in the season before tearing his ACL in Week 14. The Dolphins struggled without him, as they made the playoffs but quickly went one-and-done to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Connor Williams originally entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Texas product immediately made an impact, appearing in 13 games while starting at both guard positions. As can be expected from a rookie thrown into a difficult position, he underwent some growing pains and finished the year with a 59.1 PFF grade.
Fortunately, Williams improved in Year 2. Firmly entrenched as the starting left guard, Williams started 11 games before suffering an ACL injury in Week 13. While that ended his 2019 season, he managed to come back in time to play all 16 games in 2020. He improved his PFF grade for the third straight year, but the Cowboys could not make the playoffs.
After a disappointing final season with Dallas, Connor Williams signed a new contract with the Miami Dolphins. Now shifted over to center, the Texas product finally had a chance to shine. Putting up what was then the best film of his career, the former second-round pick finished the season with a 78.4 PFF grade, good for the fourth-best mark among centers.
