The Los Angeles Chargers completed an interview with Michigan Head Coach, Jim Harbaugh on Monday. Typically, when NFL teams meet with college coaches, it’s kept quiet. That’s not the case now, Harbaugh seems to be intrigued for a return to the league. It’s just a rumor that Jim Harbaugh could land in Los Angeles.
The Wolverines are still trying to bring him back, While he’s delaying that to maintain a lower buyout so NFL teams would have to pay the Wolverines to hire him away. Harbaugh led Michigan to 15-0 and a national championship, so of course they aren’t letting him off easy. He also succeeded with the 49ers leading them to a 44-19-1 record and Super Bowl appearance.
The ball is in his court now to make a decision. There are still several NFL job openings, including potential openings from Dallas and Philadelphia. Harbaugh had a dominant year with Michigan, so his time may be up in college. He may want to come back to the pros for a contender and he could have one with the Chargers.
The Jim Harbaugh rumors will spill in once he continues to explore other options.

Jim Harbaugh Rumors: He May Land With the Chargers
How Harbaugh Could Fit With the Team
Once Brandon Staley parted ways with the Chargers, the head coaching position became one of the best available. It’s mainly because of the young star, Justin Herbert. Many may believe he could develop Herbert as he did with J.J. McCarthy. He could do that immediately in his first year.
The potential of this team’s chances for playoff success, but consistently would skyrocket. It’s simple, Harbaugh is a football lifer, having connections all over the country at not only the college level but in the pros. He did play for the Chargers back in 1999 and 2000 before retiring from playing. After accomplishing so much in Ann Arbor, he could receive an offer, but imminently.
The question is how bad do they want Harbaugh? That’s up to the Chargers to play the situation out. They will likely play it by ear and explore other options. If Los Angeles wants to make a splash then it’s right in front of them. It would shock the league and change the landscape, putting the Chargers in favor of winning the Lombardi Trophy.
Harbaugh May Prove He’s the Real Deal
It’s not even Justin Herbert himself he can develop in that locker room. He could make guys like Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen great again. Harbaugh can continue building that for the defense for the upcoming draft if he becomes the coach by then. He and Joey Bosa could get along very well.
It’s about the assets he can make great once again, he’s done that many times throughout his career. He’s helped Andrew Luck be great at Stanford and nearly won a Super Bowl with Colin Kaepernick. He can do the same with Herbert, whose career development is stalling. It would possibly work as he needs a whisperer and drafting a healthy wide receiver.
Not only just receivers but other needs for Los Angeles. He could change the culture and scenery of this team just like he did in San Francisco and Michigan. There was frustration with the Wolverines before he came in so he could do the same again in the pros.
