Jackson Mahomes, brother of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, allegedly sexually assaulted the owner of an Overland Park restaurant last weekend, while also assaulting a member of the wait staff. Police are currently investigating these charges.
According to Mike Hendricks of the Kansas City Star, Mahomes shoved the waiter early in the evening on multiple occasions and later kissed the 40-year-old female owner against her will, allegedly putting his hand around her throat and kissing her twice.

While the police have yet to release an official report, we do have a decent idea of what happened during that night, thanks in large part to the aforementioned reporting of Mike Hendricks. According to an official police statement, the incident occurred on February 25th, 2023, and that the department is still investigating.
According to Hendricks, restaurant owner Aspen Vaughn provided him with a video “showing Jackson Mahomes grabbing her by the throat and kissing her at least twice in her office”. Said Vaughn, “He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere…and then he proceeded to do it two more times where the last time I was pushing him off…” Hendricks goes on to add that Vaughn also provided a photo of her neck following the incident in which you can see a faint bruise presumably caused by Mahomes.
Earlier in the night, Mahomes and his posse entered the basement office and denied a waiter entry while he was trying to get his water bottle. Per the waiter (who wished to remain nameless), “I’m trying to get to the office, and he’s like, pushing me out….and he’s like No, get out, get out”.
These incidents have supposedly been captured on the restaurant’s security system, which has been turned over to the police. According to Vaughn, the police told her that they plan to pursue charges for alleged sexual assault even if she does not want to press charges.
For what it’s worth, Mahomes’ lawyer has already provided a statement claiming that his client is innocent. “[The lawyers] investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson’s accuser including the statements of several witnesses. We have reached out to law enforcement to provide the fruit of our investigation so that they may have a complete picture of the matter”.
