NFL veteran safety Julian Love signed a new contract with the Seartle Seahawks. Love, a former fourth-round pick, has spent the entirety of his professional career with the New York Giants.

Julian Love, Seattle Seahawks, Agree to Contract
After spending the first three years of his career as a rotational player, Julian Love finally earned a starting job under first-year head coach Brian Daboll. Love proved he was up for the added responsibility by entering free agency on the heels of the best season of his career. Starting and appearing in 16 games, the safety finished the year with 124 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, one quarterback hit, one sack, five passes defended, and one forced fumble. The Giants made the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and made it all the way to the Wild Card round before losing to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Julian Love originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Selected by the New York Giants, the rookie made an immediate impact in the secondary. Appearing in 15 games while making five starts, the rookie finished his inaugural campaign with one interception, three passes defended, one forced fumble, 37 tackles, five tackles-for-loss, and one quarterback hit.
Love’s second season in the league was much like his first. Working under first-year head coach Joe Judge, the safety started six of the 16 games in which he played, recording one interception, three passes defended, 64 tackles, and one tackle-for-loss. Despite the new head coach, the Giants were still unable to make it back to the playoffs.
During the third year of his contract, Julian Love recorded one interception, seven passes defended, 0.5 sacks, 66 tackles, one tackle-for-loss, and two quarterback hits. Once again, the Giants failed to qualify for postseason play, and the team fired Joe Judge after the season.
