While the 2022 Los Angeles Rams were something of a disaster, Taylor Rapp maintained his usual high level of play throughout the lost season. Starting and appearing in 16 games, Rapp finished his contract year with two interceptions, six passes defended, one fumble recovery, 92 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, and one quarterback hit. He also recorded a 76.2 PFF grade, good for 13th among 89 eligible players.

Taylor Rapp originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Selected by the Los Angeles Rams, the Washington product impressed throughout training camp and played a big role on the defense. Appearing in 15 games while making 10 starts, the rookie finished his inaugural season with two interceptions, eight passes defended, one fumble recovery, 100 tackles, three tackles-for-loss, and one quarterback hit.

Rapp built on that promising rookie year and picked up right where he left off in 2020. However, an unfortunate injury ended his season after just nine games. When on the field, the Washington product finished the season with one interception, three passes defended, one forced fumble, 44 tackles, one tackle-for-loss, and no sacks or quarterback hits.

Taylor Rapp returned to the field in 2021 and put together what was probably the best performance of his career. Starting in all 17 games, Rapp ended the year with a career-high four interceptions, six passes defended, one fumble recovery, 1.5 sacks, 94 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, and three quarterback hits. With Matthew Stafford in town, Rapp and the Rams won Super Bowl LVI over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Since signing his rookie contract, Taylor Rapp has appeared in 57 games while making 48 starts. While on the field, the safety has accumulated nine interceptions, 23 passes defended, 330 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and eight tackles-for-loss.
