2022 NFL Week 3 Survivor League Top Picks

2022 NFL Week 3 survivor league top picks. Here are some teams on which to focus this week in survivor/knockout leagues.

Week 2 of the 2022 NFL season showed fans that not all leads are necessarily safe, thanks to impressive comeback wins by the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, and Arizona Cardinals. And the Buffalo Bills have been so impressive thus far (after also being one of the best teams in the NFL in 2021) that some TV personalities are already asking people to choose “Bills or the field” to win the Super Bowl this year. But now it is time to focus on this week’s action. Here are some NFL Week 3 survivor league top picks.

Top Picks for 2022 NFL Week 3 2022 Survivor League

Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts (Sunday, 1 PM, CBS)

The Kansas City Chiefs are 2-0 while the Indianapolis Colts are 0-1-1. The Chiefs two victories came against fairly quality opponents (Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers) while the Colts tied the Houston Texans in Week 1 and lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-0, in Week 2.

Through the first two weeks of the season, the Chiefs have scored 71 points and are third in the league in scoring. Even though Tyreek Hill is now with the Miami Dolphins, the Chiefs are still better on offense than many teams in the league and are certainly better than the first two offenses the Colts have faced this season. Conversely, the Colts offense is last in the NFL in scoring after scoring 20 points in Week 1 and zero points in Week 2.

Kansas City might have to play on the road this week, but they should not have any issues putting up points. And the Colts offense has not instilled any confidence thus far that they will be able to keep up with the number of points the Chiefs will put on the scoreboard. There is a reason Kansas City is favored by 6.5 points this week. This game will not be a struggle for the Chiefs. Here are all of the predictions for AFC West teams in Week 3, including the Chiefs at the Colts.

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders (Sunday, 1 PM, FOX)

The Philadelphia Eagles have started the season by winning their first two games while the Washington Commanders are 1-1 after losing to the Detroit Lions in Week 2. Like the Chiefs, the Eagles are also giving 6.5 points this week.

This matchup will pit Carson Wentz against his former team, so he might have his adrenaline pumping for this one. But he is not talented enough to get the win and he rarely, if ever, delivers in important games. And Jalen Hurts has been playing really well and he and the Eagles offense should continue to roll in Week 3. The Eagles are averaging 189.5 rushing yards (second in the league), 281.0 passing yards (seventh overall), and 31.0 points (fifth in the NFL) per game this season. The Commanders defense is allowing 157.0 rushing yards (28th), 247.0 passing yards (20th), and 29.0 points (29th) per game. Hurts is a better quarterback than Wentz in every way and Philly’s defense is superior to Washington’s. Hurts, Miles Sanders, and A.J. Brown should all have nice weeks fantasy-wise and the Eagles should emerge from Week 3 with a 3-0 record and most likely cover.

Cleveland Browns Versus Pittsburgh Steelers (Thursday, 8:15 PM, Amazon Prime Video)

Both the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off of losses in Week 2 and this is the Thursday night game so both teams have a short week. The Steelers offense was atrocious against the New England Patriots last week (and really wasn’t good in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals either). The Steelers are averaging only 18.5 points per game on offense thus far. While their defense is allowing only 18.5 points per game, they are susceptible to the run (they are allowing 128.5 rushing yards per game) and the Browns are leading the league with 200.5 yards on the ground per game, with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. The NFL might be a passing league and Cleveland’s defense might not be great, but the Browns will give the T.J. Wattless Steelers a steady dose of Chubb and Hunt and limit the number of possessions the Steelers will have on offense. That will result in a win for the Browns.

Taking the Bills in knockout/survivor leagues will seem like a good idea until they provide a reason to not believe in them, which has not yet happened. But keeping Buffalo to use in the future makes sense and they are playing the Miami Dolphins this week who might actually be a legitimate team. The Chiefs are the safest pick this week but for anyone who wants to save Kansas City to use later, the Eagles and Browns are good bets this week.
