Every week is a great week when there is football involved. Each week this column will analyze a player at each position rostered in 50 percent of Yahoo leagues or less. This group of players is basically a dream stream team. For reference, the threshold used for Wins and Losses in this article will be if the quarterbacks can score at least 17 points, if the tight ends can score at least eight PPR points, and if the rest can score at least 10 PPR points. Here is the Week 2 Stream Team.

Week 3 Stream Team
Quarterback – Jared Goff (DET – 22%) @ MIN
Jared Goff has had his ups and downs in his NFL career but he seems to be looked down upon more than not. The truth is, he’s a perfectly solid and capable quarterback. What could be the fun part about Goff this year is that the Detroit Lions may turn into a fantasy carnival. That is when a team is not very good on defense so they allow the other team to score but they are good enough on offense to also score and therefore are involved in plenty of shootouts. They also play half of their games in a dome, which helps.
Goff has some excellent weapons at his disposal led by the dynamic duo of D’Andre Swift and Amon-Ra St. Brown. T.J. Hockenson is also an above-average option at the tight end position. While Week 1 wasn’t anything special, Goff still scored 16.50 fantasy points. He followed that up this week with a 26.04 fantasy point performance. Goff now has six touchdown passes on the season and only one interception. This week he gets another good matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings can put up points so Goff will need to air it out to keep up. This game is in Minnesota so it will be played in a dome as well. Add it all up and it makes Goff one of the best Week 3 Stream Team options.

Honorable Mentions – Marcus Mariota (ATL – 11%) @ SEA, Jameis Winston (NO – 49%) v DAL
Running Back – J.D. McKissic (WAS – 24%) v PHI
It’s extremely slim pickings at the running back position this week. The theme of the week is going with guys who have the lesser share of the committee but are more heavily involved in the passing game. J.D. McKissic might be the perfect example of that. He’s never a guy that anyone is very excited to start but he’s almost always available and serviceable. McKissic is the perfect example of a “fill-in” running back. Whether you are dealing with bye weeks or injuries, he’s almost always available as a fallback option. After a disappointing season-open, McKissic bounced back this week with 13.30 fantasy points. He only had three carries for nine yards but added seven receptions for 54 yards on seven targets. This week’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles isn’t ideal but the game script should be in his favor to see plenty of targets once again. This makes McKissic a good Week 3 Stream Team option.
Honorable Mentions – Jerick McKinnon (KC – 6%) @ IND, Kenneth Gainwell (PHI – 46%) @ WAS
Wide Receiver – Garrett Wilson (NYJ – 23%) v CIN
Wow, what a start to Garrett Wilson’s career. After an encouraging performance in Week 1, he took another giant leap this week. In Week 1, Wilson only had 9.20 fantasy points, however, he did have eight targets. The 56% route participation was a double-edged sword. On one hand, it was encouraging to see that many routes on such low route participation. On the other hand, we need to see that route participation take a jump up for Wilson to become a good fantasy option.
In Week 2, we saw that jump. Wilson ran a route on 76% of dropbacks and commanded 14 targets. That was good for a 35% target share. He put up a whopping 33 fantasy points by catching eight passes for 102 yards and two scores, including the game-winning touchdown. Wilson was the tenth overall pick in this year’s draft and has elite speed and route-running ability to go along with that draft capital. This week’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals is a juicy one. The Bengals are one of the fastest-paced teams in the NFL as both the Bengals and the New York Jets are in the top five in terms of most offensive plays through two games. Wilson is not only one of the best Week 3 Stream Team options but also a must-add long-term as well.
Garrett Wilson was only on the field for 56% of the Jets' passing plays in Week 1 but led the team with a 23% target rate.
Jumped to 76% in Week 2 and led the team with an eye-popping 35% target share and 43% of air yards. 🔥
Elijah Moore led way with 94% route participation.

Honorable Mentions – Greg Dortch (ARI – 7%) v LAR, Jakobi Meyers (NE – 35%) v BAL
Tight End – Evan Engram (JAX – 21%) @ LAC
After a disappointing debut as a Jacksonville Jaguar in Week 1, Evan Engram got back on track in Week 2. It wasn’t just Engram, but the entire Jaguars offense looked out-of-sorts in the season opener. This week, they put the hurt on the Indianapolis Colts in a 24-0 surprising win. Engram was a big part of that as he led the team with eight targets. He caught seven of them for only 46 scoreless yards on his way to 11.6 fantasy points.
While that isn’t anything special, that is good for TE9 heading into Monday Night Football. Even though Engram didn’t produce a ton of yards, it was encouraging to see so many manufactured touches. The Jaguars are designing ways to get the ball in his hands. Engram did have some very nice YAC on short passes as well. There aren’t many tight ends seeing this level of involvement, let alone rostered in these few leagues. This week he gets a matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are tough on paper as a strong defense with Derwin James taking away plenty of tight ends. On the other hand, the Jaguars should be trailing and throwing plenty in this one. While it is a tough matchup, the potential game script combined with this level of target share is just too good to ignore. This makes Engram a great Week 3 Stream Team option.
Honorable Mentions – Hayden Hurst (CIN – 16%) @ NYJ, Logan Thomas (WAS – 14%) v PHI
