Fantasy football championship week is finally here. The teams that have made it this far are already talented, but usually they have one or two positions that need to be streamed. Here is a streamer for the fantasy football finals for each position. Each one of these players is rostered in less than 40 percent of ESPN leagues.
Fantasy Football Finals Streamers
Quarterback: Trey Lance
With Jimmy Garoppolo sustaining a thumb injury in week 16, Trey Lance is set to make his second NFL start. The rushing upside that Lance possesses is immense. This week Lance is going up against a Houston Texans defense that cannot stop the run, although they have played well over the past two weeks. The concern here is that the San Francisco 49ers go run-heavy and cause Lance to hand the ball off but Kyle Shanahan will design plenty of run plays for Lance. Lance is a back-end QB1 for owners that are scrambling to find a QB this late in the season.

Running Back: Dare Ogunbowale
The best streaming option from the running back position this week is Dare Ogunbowale. With the unfortunate news that James Robinson suffered a season-ending Achilles tear, Ogunbowale will now be the lead back for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars play the New England Patriots this week and while the Patriots defense is a rookie quarterbacks kryptonite, Ogunbowale should still get a big workload. At worst, Ogunbowale is a FLEX play with upside for more if he can fall into the endzone.
Wide Receiver: K.J. Osborn
K.J. Osborn was dropped in many leagues after the 3-21-0 line that he posted in week 15. However, he bounced back in week 16 and with the news that Adam Thielen is done for the season, Osborn should continue to thrive. He has scored a touchdown in three out of his last four games and he has a great chance of getting into the endzone this week. The Minnesota Vikings will face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night football and this could easily turn into a shootout. With the Packers’ defense zeroed in on Justin Jefferson, Osborn should be able to pile up some great stats. He is a solid FLEX option if you need receiver help.
Tight End: Gerald Everett
If there is one tight end that has been quietly producing over the second half of the season, it’s Gerald Everett. Since week 10, Everett has had either 60 yards receiving or a touchdown in five of seven games. In fact, during that span, he has scored more fantasy points than D.K. Metcalf, who was drafted in the second round of many fantasy leagues. Add in a great matchup this week against the Detroit Lions and Everett is looking like a solid streaming option. He is rostered in less than 20 percent of ESPN leagues at the moment.
Defense: Chicago D/ST
The Chicago Bears defense is nothing special. They are ranked 22nd by Pro Football Focus. But what they do have going for them this week is a matchup against the New York Giants. At this point, any team playing the Giants is in streaming consideration. The Giants’ two options at quarterback are Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm. Both have been so horrendous that the Giants keep benching one for the other. The Giants offense has scored 10 points or fewer in three out of the last four games without Daniel Jones. There isn’t any more to be said, start this defense.
