2020 was an up and down season for Carson. He rushed for just 681 yards and five touchdowns in just 12 games played. An area where Carson did improve in was in the passing game. He had a career high 287 yards receiving and a career high four receiving touchdowns. He did average a career high 4.8 yards a carry this season. 2019 was probably his best season of his career with his production and also his durability. He rushed for 1,230 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games played. His 1,230 rushing yards ranked top ten in the NFL.

Carson has dealt with some injury problems throughout his career. He has only played in 45 out of a possible 64 games during his career including missing the final 12 games of his rookie season. He did however bounce back his second season from his gruesome ankle injury he suffered during his rookie season. The former seventh round pick had over 1,100 yards rushing and nine rushing touchdowns. He hasn’t played in many playoff games during his career either. Carson played in just two playoff games and totaled just 97 yards combined in both games on 29 carries.

Carson fell in the draft to the 249th pick after a subpar career at Oklahoma State. He played in only two seasons at the school. He tallied over 500 yards rushing in each of his two seasons there and had a total of 14 touchdowns. His yards per carry increased from his junior year to his senior year. As a junior, he averaged 3.9 yards a carry. That number went all the way up to 6.8 yards a carry as a senior. He was able to turn an average career at Oklahoma State into a productive first four years in the NFL.
