Terrion Arnold is still looking for his next teams, and reports across the league indicate he has suitors even though he’s still awaiting trial for a late-June arrest on felony kidnapping and armed robbery charges. Selected with the 24th-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Alabama product immediately earned a starting job in Detroit’s secondary. While he never approached a Pro Bowl level of play, Arnold appeared to be a starting-caliber player who would have remained a key part of Detroit’s secondary, at least until the end of his rookie contract.
However, that plan came to a crashing halt when the cornerback was arrested and charged with multiple felonies following an alleged revenge kidnapping plot. The Lions recently released the embattled cornerback, and nobody put in a claim for him while he was on waivers. Despite this, agent Nicole Lynn recently testified that the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, and Seattle Seahawks were interested in Terrion Arnold. Terrion Arnold has also worked out for the Houston Texans and reportedly took a physical with the organization.
While Houston may have to battle the Colts and Jets for his services, it appears as though the Seattle Seahawks are out of the running. According to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, the reigning Super Bowl champions are not expected to pursue Terrion Arnold, which means the cornerback will find a different home in the 2026 season.
Seahawks Not Expected to Pursue Terrion Arnold
Frankly, this report doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. As the reigning world champions, Seattle has the best roster in football and they don’t need another cornerback, especially one with this type of baggage. Terrion Arnold is more of a headache than he’s worth for this organization, and the initial interest was likely nothing more than due diligence.
