Von Miller is one of the greatest players of his generation, and the future Hall of Famer is still looking for his next team. Selected with the second-overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Texas A&M product immediately established himself as one of the game’s elite pass rushers, making eight Pro Bowls during his first nine years in the league, earning First-Team All-Pro honors three times, winning two Super Bowls, and even earning Super Bowl 50 MVP honors.
While age has done a number on him and he’s no longer an elite player, Von Miller proved he can still be productive in a situational role. While the 2025 Washington Commanders had a disappointing season overall, Miller played well in a supporting role. Appearing in 17 games while making three starts, the veteran finished the season with nine sacks, 26 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, and 15 quarterback hits.
At this stage in his career, Von Miller is nothing more than a situational pass rusher. However, competing teams still need as many pass rushers as they can get, and Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox believes the Los Angeles Rams should reunite with a player who already played a major role in winning a championship for the organization.
“However, a return to the Los Angeles Rams would make even more sense [than a Broncos reunion],” Knox writes. “Denver has a deep pass-rushing rotation that recorded 68 sacks in 2025. While the Rams traded for Myles Garrett earlier this offseason, they traded away Jared Verse as part of the deal. Adding Miller to the rotation behind Garrett and Byron Young would be very sensible for L.A.”
Von Miller Could Sign With Los Angeles Rams
It’s easy to see where Knox is coming from here, as the Los Angeles Rams are clearly all-in on the 2026 season. With the future of the quarterback position secured with Alabama’s Ty Simpson, Los Angeles is doing everything they can to win another Super Bowl with reigning MVP quarterback Matthew Stafford. After making it to the NFC Championship Game last year, the team went all-out in the offseason by acquiring cornerbacks Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson and bringing in superstar pass rusher Myles Garrett. Add in the potential return of Aaron Donald and it’s hard to find a weakness on this roster.
Von Miller would not start for the Rams, but he could be a dangerous situational pass rusher. With Garrett and (potentially) Donald, Miller would see plenty of one-on-one matchups and still has enough juice to win in those situations, especially since he’d likely be on a limited snap count.
Adding to this is his familiarity with Sean McVay and the Rams organization. While he only played half a season with the club, Miller was remarkably efficient in 2021 and Los Angeles might not have won the Super Bowl without him. While he’s not the same player now that he was then, it goes to show that McVay knows how to use him, and it likely wouldn’t take long for Von Miller to learn the defense.
