The Kelce brothers have welcomed countless NFL stars onto their New Heights podcast over the years, but one of their latest guests may have provided one of the simplest and most revealing answers yet.
Defensive star Myles Garrett, coming off the blockbuster trade this offseason to the Los Angeles Rams. stopped by a live show in Los Angeles with Jason and Travis Kelce. The Defensive Player of the Year award winner talked about all things, including his move to Los Angeles, the transition to a new team, and what he has in store next. However, one question the Kelce brothers asked proved to be most intriguing.
Kelce Brothers Receive Straightforward Answer From Garrett
During the interview, Travis Kelce asked Garrett a simple question.
“What are you most excited about coming to LA?”
Before responding, Garrett acknowledged the reaction from the crowd.
“You all heard it. They said it. You can say it again. Say it one more time.”
Then came the answer.
“Winning a Super Bowl.”
It was only three words, but they tell us all we need to know about Garrett’s mind as he heads into 2026.
Winning is Paramount to Garrett
The Kelce brothers gave Garrett a perfect opening to talk about just about anything that comes with playing in Los Angeles. He could have talked about playing for Rams head coach Sean McVay. He could have talked about playing for the most recognizable brand in the league. Garrett could have talked about the city, the weather, or the chance for a fresh start after his decade-long stay with the Cleveland Browns.
But his primary focus was on one word.
Winning.
That answer is understandable given where Garrett currently sits in his career. Few defensive players have accomplished more individually over the last decade. Since being selected first overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, Garrett has established himself as one of the most dominant pass rushers in football. He has collected Pro Bowl appearances, All-Pro selections, and Defensive Player of the Year honors while routinely ranking among the league leaders in sacks.
With all of that, he is missing one piece.
A Super Bowl ring.
The Rams provide Garrett with perhaps his best opportunity yet to accomplish that goal. Los Angeles has consistently remained competitive under McVay and has already demonstrated an ability to build championship-caliber rosters. Garrett’s comments suggest that he views this opportunity through that lens.
At this point, personal accolades are not enough for him anymore. It appears he is trying to solidify his legacy with team accomplishments.
Kelce Brothers Discover Garrett’s True Focus in Los Angeles
The Kelce brothers may have been looking for a fun answer when they asked Garrett about life in Los Angeles, but what they received was something much more revealing.
Garrett never spoke of beaches or celebrity life in LA. Instead, his conversations always turned back to football and to winning championships.
That mindset is exactly what the Rams were hoping to acquire when they made one of the biggest moves of the offseason.
The exchange with the Kelce brothers offered a glimpse into how Garrett views this next chapter of his career. Despite arriving in one of the most recognizable sports markets in the country, his attention appears fixed on what happens between the sidelines.
The Kelce brothers asked a simple question, but Garrett’s answer revealed everything Rams fans needed to hear. He came to Los Angeles for one reason and one reason only.
To chase a Super Bowl.
