Jaguars 2026 Season

Three Bold Predictions for Jaguars 2026 Season

The Jacksonville Jaguars 2026 season will be here soon as they hope to win the division in back-to-back seasons for the first time in 28 years. Coaches have to adjust to the roster changes, and players will enter expanded roles while others try to get back on track. Every season is different and brings a new set of surprises. Here are three bold predictions for the Jaguars 2026 season.

Three Bold Predictions for Jaguars 2026 Season

Jaguars 2026 Season Prediction 1: Jaguars Will Have a Top 10 Rushing Offense

Despite having one of the best offenses in the NFL in 2025, it was largely due to their passing attack. The Jaguars ranked 27th in yards per attempt and 20th in rushing yards and were a one-dimensional offense. After the loss of Travis Etienne, the Jaguars rushing attack will look much different.

Bhayshul Tuten will have an expanded role in 2026 after showing flashes his rookie season. Newly-added running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. will serve as the backup running back and presents another dynamic as a tackle breaker.

The Jaguars have also made their intentions to use heavier personnel very clear, discussing the need to play in two or three tight end sets. They also drafted a blocking tight end with their first draft pick just under a month ago.

Liam Coen was able to turn the Buccaneers running game around in his first year as the offense coordinator, so he has shown the capabilities to improve a running offense. With his hand-picked personnel as well as his skillset in run design, the Jaguars will have a top 10 rushing offense in 2026.

Jaguars 2026 Season Prediction 2: Travis Hunter Will Make the Pro Bowl

After a turbulent rookie season that ended after just seven games, there was a lot of speculation as to what Travis Hunter’s positional usage would be in 2026. Shortly after Hunter went down with injury, the Jaguars traded for Jakobi Meyers, and their passing offense took off.

It was clear that Hunter would no longer be needed as a full-time receiver, and he was needed more on the defensive side of the ball. With the loss of Greg Newsome II, Hunter will take his place as the starting boundary cornerback. There may be an adjustment period, but Hunter will emerge as the team’s best defensive back.

Now that both Hunter and the coaching staff have a year of learning under their belts, Hunter will be able to play at a high level on defense, while also adding production on offense in his limited snaps.  Travis Hunter will make the Pro Bowl in 2026, putting the criticism of his draft status to bed.

Jaguars 2026 Season Prediction 3: Emmanuel Pregnon Will Eventually Become the Full-Time Right Guard

Emmanuel Pregnon was a top-rated guard in the 2026 draft but fell to the Jaguars in the third round. In 2025, Patrick Mekari had his struggles as a run and pass blocker, being graded 68th out of 81 guards, and he will turn 29 before the season.

Pregnon will not start right away, but Mekari’s struggles will give the Jaguars a reason to give the starting job to Pregnon. Pregnon is younger, has a higher ceiling and will prove to be the better player by the end of the season, securing his job as the team’s long-term starting guard.
