6-Year Starting Safety Signs Contract With Los Angeles Rams

The 2025 season was arguably the best of Kamren Kurl’s career. Starting and appearing in all 17 games, the safety recorded two interceptions, 122 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, two quarterback hits, and a 77.8 PFF grade, the 11th-best mark out of 91 eligible players. With his help, the Rams made it to the NFC Championship Game but narrowly fell to the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

Kamren Curl originally entered the league as a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Selected by the Washington Football Team, the Arkansas product immediately outplayed his draft capital and became a key part of the defense. Appearing in all 16 games while making 11 starts, the rookie finished his inaugural campaign with three interceptions, two sacks, 88 tackles, four tackles-for-loss, and five quarterback hits. The Football Team made it to the playoffs but went one-and-done against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Curl held onto the starting job for the next three seasons and continued to play at an impressive level. Following the expiration of his rookie contract, the former seventh-round pick signed a new deal with the Los Angeles Rams. During his first season with the club, Curl started and appeared in all 16 games while recording one sack, 79 tackles, one tackle-for-loss, one quarterback hit, and a 67.3 PFF grade.

Since signing his rookie contract, Kamren Curl has appeared in 93 games while making 86 starts. While on the field, the former seventh-round pick has recorded five sacks, 28 passes defended, eight sacks, 586 tackles, 18 tackles-for-loss, and 14 quarterback hits. He has yet to earn a Pro Bowl nomination or earn All-Pro honors.
