Week 15 of the NFL Season is in the books, which means the fantasy football semifinals have arrived. Here are the Week 16 quarterback rankings for fantasy football. All 32 teams are in action as bye weeks are over. Patrick Mahomes is out for the year with a torn ACL, while Jayden Daniels is shut down for the remainder of the season.
Quarterback Rankings Week 16 Fantasy Football
Tier 1: The Big 5
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 1 | Josh Allen | Cleveland Browns |
| 2 | Jalen Hurts | Washington Commanders |
| 3 | Lamar Jackson | New England Patriots |
| 4 | Matthew Stafford | Seattle Seahawks |
| 5 | Dak Prescott | Los Angeles Chargers |
This top tier of quarterbacks is the best of the best in fantasy football:
- Allen and the Bills kept their hopes of winning the AFC East alive with a massive victory over the Patriots. This was the second straight game that Allen threw three touchdowns. The Browns will be a tougher matchup in Week 16, but Allen still ranks as the top quarterback.
- Hurts only threw the ball 15 times in the Eagles’ easy victory over the Raiders. He completed 12 of those passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns. Expect another great game from him against the Commanders’ struggling defense.
Tier 2: Low-End QB1s
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 6 | Joe Burrow | Miami Dolphins |
| 7 | Jacoby Brissett | Atlanta Falcons |
| 8 | Jaxson Dart | Minnesota Vikings |
| 9 | Jared Goff | Pittsburgh Steelers |
| 10 | Drake Maye | Baltimore Ravens |
These guys are low-end QB1s, and I feel comfortable starting any of them as my QB1 this week:
- Brissett proved he was matchup proof, putting up big numbers against one of the best defenses in the league. This was the sixth consecutive game that Brissett had at least 40 passing attempts. He has had at least two passing touchdowns in all but one of his starts. Brissett is in the top eight of the Week 16 quarterback rankings.
- Goff had one of his best games of the season, although in a loss. He threw for over 300 yards for the second straight game. He added three passing touchdowns, leading to over 25 fantasy points. Goff has another nice matchup against the Steelers at home in Week 16.
Tier 3: High-End QB2s
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 11 | Baker Mayfield | Carolina Panthers |
| 12 | Trevor Lawrence | Denver Broncos |
| 13 | Brock Purdy | Indianapolis Colts |
| 14 | C.J. Stroud | Las Vegas Raiders |
| 15 | Tyler Shough | New York Jets |
| 16 | Marcus Mariota | Philadelphia Eagles |
This tier consists of the high-end QB2s:
- Lawrence had the highest-scoring game by a quarterback this season, scoring 44.3 fantasy points. He threw for 330 passing yards, five passing touchdowns, 51 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown. He and the Jaguars dominated the Jets. Lawrence has a much tougher matchup against the Broncos this week, but they allowed 26 points in their last game. Lawrence has been on a heater lately, and he is a mid-range QB2 this week.
- Shough has been playing solid football, having three straight games with at least 17 fantasy points. He has also led the Saints to back-to-back upset victories. Shough gets to play a Jets team that just allowed 44 fantasy points last week (see above bullet). On another note, they play the Titans in Week 17, so Shough is a sneaky sleeper quarterback for the final two weeks of the fantasy playoffs if looking for a new quarterback.
Trevor Lawrence is the only player in NFL history with 5+ pass TDs, 1+ rush TD & 50+ rush yards in a single game 🔥@Jaguars | #DUUUVAL pic.twitter.com/0xOE9zbqnW

Tier 4: Superflex Options Only
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 17 | Bryce Young | Tampa Bay Buccaneers |
| 18 | Justin Herbert | Dallas Cowboys |
| 19 | Bo Nix | Jacksonville Jaguars |
| 20 | Jordan Love | Chicago Bears |
| 21 | Caleb Williams | Green Bay Packers |
| 22 | Sam Darnold | Los Angeles Rams |
| 23 | J.J. McCarthy | New York Giants |
| 24 | Shedeur Sanders | Buffalo Bills |
These players are options only in very deep leagues or SuperFlex leagues:
- Nix and the Broncos’ offense looked really good against a great Packers defense. Nix threw for over 300 passing yards and four touchdowns, scoring over 29 fantasy points.
- Love and Williams will battle it out for first place in the NFC North on Saturday night. Both quarterbacks are low-end QB2 options.
- McCarthy has back-to-back top ten finishes, and he gets another great matchup against the Giants. He is a great streaming option this week and faces the Lions next week, who are struggling on defense.
