The Carolina Panthers aren’t out of the playoff hunt just yet. They are 5-5 and could sneakily find a way to play in the wild-card in January if they continue to be consistent. However, the Panthers made several changes on their defensive roster, including releasing linebacker Josey Jewell. Despite that, they made two draft acquisitions in Nic Scourton and Princely Umanmielen, and with DJ Wonnum set to become a free agent, the Panthers may sign Clark for depth.
He isn’t going to start, but it’s a chance to develop in a roster that showed that they’re finally valuing the defense after signing Tershawn Wharton and Tre’Von Moehrig as their biggest splashes.
