Veteran Matthew Stafford is probably having one of the best seasons in his long-term NFL career. Without throwing an interception for the past several weeks, Stafford is on pace to win an MVP. Despite that, he is aging, and the retirement teaser from last year’s playoffs shows that he might have a good 2-3 season at minimum. Stafford is still under contract through after reworking it this past offseason, but when you have a good coach like Sean McVay, they should trade for Winston.
Winston is old himself, but the Rams are always prone to success when dealing with experienced veterans. However, the Rams could trade for Winston to develop him once Stafford is done and wants to pass the torch.
