After trying to field trade calls for wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., the team will likely sign or trade for another wide receiver in the offseason. The Jaguars lost to the Texans in their latest matchup, which resulted in a heartbreaker, so the team may have to be forced to tank as they don’t have the roster intact just yet for quarterback Trevor Lawrence. With rookie Travis Hunter on IR and still developing, the Jaguars’ signing Jones on a low-stakes deal would make sense.
They don’t need to make a huge commitment, but after trading Christian Kirk last offseason, the Jaguars might play it safe and get Jones under a one-year contract.
