The 2025 campaign for the Kansas City Chiefs hasn’t been in their favor. Still at 5-4 and the recent losses to the Bills and Chargers, they’re still in a thick playoff race. The Chiefs may look better than their record shows, but there are several veterans who are slowing down. Patrick Mahomes is getting older as well, so this means the Chiefs are better off getting him a fresh new wide receiver this upcoming offseason.
While they did draft Jalen Royals last offseason, it hasn’t compensated for how this receiver core group has been playing. As long as Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice can stay out of trouble and remain healthy, the Chiefs should trade for Hyatt to stabilize their unit while Royals is developing as a WR4.
