2. Carolina Panthers
The 5-4 Panthers are in the best spot in football since the Cam Newton days several years ago. While things look bright on offense, the same can’t be said about the secondary unit. While they were able to extend both Mike Jackson and Jaycee Horn, they also brought in safety Tre’Von Moehrig, who needs help to disrupt an offense’s aerial attack. Nick Scott found some signs of life, but Diggs is the better player at this stage if the Panthers have wild-card aspirations.
Diggs isn’t going to drastically change Carolina, but it should be a good opportunity for the veteran to reclaim his prime days.
