College Football Rankings In The Big 12

4. Cincinnati Bearcats

Don’t look now – but Scott Satterfield’s Bearcats are undefeated in Big 12 play, and do not appear to be an easy out. It seems to be a different receiver who steps up every week for Brendan Sorsby, and it was Jeff Caldwell in Week 7. The Bearcats have what I am referring to as their “Oklahoma State Bye” in Week 8.

5. BYU Cougars

Like Bachman-Turner Overdrive, BYU just keeps taking care of business. They needed a clutch Bear Bachmeier run in double overtime to escape Tucson with a win over a pesky Arizona team. I still don’t know if this BYU team is any good because they haven’t beaten anyone good. We’ll find out a lot this week when the Cougars host Utah.

6. Baylor Bears

The Bears were off in Week 7, and the bye week still scored 30 points on them. But the good news is that the offense scored 49. All jokes aside, Baylor’s mediocre defense is going to force them to outscore opponents to win games, a task that Sawyer Robertson and Bryson Washington are built for.
